The Houston Rockets travel to Air Canada Centre to take on the Toronto Raptors for a Sunday afternoon contest. On Nov. 23, the Raptors beat the Rockets 115-102. DeMar DeRozan led the Raptors with 24 points and nine assists. Toronto has won two of their last four games and Houston has won seven straight. The contest features two of the best offensive teams in the league. The Raptors are third in the league in scoring (110 ppg) and the Rockets are second in the league in offense (114.3 ppg). DeRozan leads Toronto as he is averaging 27.4 points and 5.1 rebounds. Houston is led by James Harden who is putting up 27.9 points, 11.9 assists, and 8.2 rebounds.
Rockets top Magic
The Houston Rockets beat the Orlando Magic 100-93 on Friday night. Houston took control when they outscored Orlando 35-23 in the third. Ryan Anderson led the Rockets with 19 points on 5-of-9 from 3-point range. Patrick Beverley had 17 points (7/9 fg) and nine rebounds. The Rockets shot 45 percent from the field and the Magic shot 42 percent. James Harden struggled going for 14 points (0/8 threes), 10 assists, and seven rebounds. Orlando out-rebounded Houston 49-45.
Eric Gordon finished with 17 points on 3-of-16 from 3-point range. Trevor Ariza added 13 points and six rebounds. The Rockets fell to 14-6 on the road this season.
Raptors fall to Bulls in overtime
The Toronto Raptors lost 123-118 to the Chicago Bulls on Saturday night. Toronto blew a 12 point lead at the end of the third when they were outscored 33-21. DeMar DeRozan led the Raptors with 36 points and eight rebounds. Kyle Lowry had 27 points, 12 assists, and nine rebounds. Toronto shot 44 percent from the field and Chicago shot 39 percent. The Raptors had trouble containing Jimmy Butler who had 42 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists. The key in the contest was rebounding as the Bulls out-rebounded the Raptors 60-41.
Jonas Valanciunas wound up with 14 points and seven rebounds. Cory Joseph added 14 points on 3-of-3 from 3-point range. Chicago had 14 turnovers and Toronto committed 11. The Raptors fell to 12-7 on the road this season.
