The Houston Rockets hit the road to take on the Minnesota Timberwolves for a Wednesday night contest. On Nov. 7, the Rockets beat the Wizards 114-106. Rockets top Hornets in shootout

Eric Gordon missed the contest with a toe injury. Montrezl Harrell wound up with 14 points on 5-of-5 shooting. Harrell has made 17-of-18 field goals over his last two games.
Both teams did a good job in limiting their mistakes as the Hornets had 11 turnovers and the Rockets committed 10. Trevor Ariza added 16 points on 3-of-6 from three-point range. Houston improved to 16-3 at home this season.
Towns leads Minnesota to win
The Minnesota Timberwolves beat the Dallas Mavericks 101-92 on Monday night. Minnesota took control early on with a 33-19 first quarter. Towns led the Timberwolves with 34 points (15/19 fg) and 11 rebounds. Ricky Rubio had 13 points, 15 assists, and five steals. Minnesota out-rebounded Dallas 42-25 in the contest. Andrew Wiggins wound up with 13 points on 5-of-11 shooting. Zach LaVine left the contest in the fourth quarter with a bruised left hip and he didn’t return.
Gorgui Dieng added 12 points and five rebounds in the win. The Timberwolves committed 19 turnovers and the Mavericks had 15. Minnesota improved 7-13 at home this year.
The Houston Rockets are:
- 9-1 ATS in their last 10 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of less than .400.
- 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games vs. a team with a winning % below .400.
- 13-3 ATS in their last 16 road games vs. a team with a losing home record.
- 16-5 ATS in their last 21 road games.
The Minnesota Timberwolves are:
- 4-0 under in last 4 vs. Western Conference.
- 5-1 under in last 6 vs. NBA Southwest.
Houston is a much better team at this stage despite all the talent that Minnesota has. Towns will have have a big game but it won’t be enough. Harden will have his way as he has all season and the Rockets will cruise.
The pick: Houston
