CR4ZY and SG.pro are set to square away in the Group A Opening Matches of the Eden Arena Malta Vibes Cup 5. The 16 participants are broken into four double-elimination groups where the Opening Matches are single map matches while the rest in each group are best of three. Each of the top two teams in each group will advance to the single-elimination Playoffs stage to compete for their share of $40,000 USD. This will be the first time these teams have ever played against each other.

The Ukrainian squad of CR4ZY comes into this match ranking 52nd in the HLTV world rankings. They have been inconsistent lately, but they have been facing some tough teams along the way. CR4ZY has won two of their last five matches with wins over Illuminar and NAVI Junior, and their losses came against LDLC twice and ALTERNATE aTTaX, and no one is going to hold those losses against them. Nuke and Mirage are by far the team's best maps, but they have been really shaky outside of those two maps.

SG.pro enters this series ranked 74th in the world. The Russian squad finally shook the rust off as they snapped a seven-match losing streak with a 2-1 series win over Illuminar. SG.pro hasn't looked nearly as strong since the world moved to playing online CS:GO, and it's very clear that they are a much better team when playing on LAN. Dust2, Train and Mirage have been SG.pro's best maps historically, but here lately it's been hard to trust them on any map.

I can't believe that this spread is set so low, but I'm not going to complain. CR4ZY hasn't been the most consistent team by any means, but they have been playing much better than their opponents. SG.pro has been horrible since the move online, and they just snapped a seven-match losing streak with a win over Illuminar which isn't impressive at all. I'm not necessarily saying that CR4ZY will win this one by 10+ rounds, but they will easily cover this small spread.
