Dignitas vs. Giants Preview & Prediction - Free CS:GO Betting Picks 8/8
The FunSpark ULTI 2020 - European Qualifier is set to begin, and we have a Group A match upcoming between Dignitas and Giants. The 16 team qualifier participants are broken into two groups of eight for the Group Stage in which they take part in a GSL format group with the opening matches being single map while every game afterwards will be a best of three match series. The winner of each group will earn a bid to the FunSpark ULTI 2020 where some of the best teams in the world will compete for their share of $300,000 USD.
The Swedish squad Dignitas comes into this contest ranking 54th in the world. Their roster was formerly under the NiP brand, and during that time they were once ranked number one in the world. Dignitas has only played two games since June 22nd, but they beat Singularity 16-7 in a single map match and then swept Izako Boars 2-0 in a three map series. Train, Dust2 and Mirage have been thorns in the sides of Dignitas, and their current five man roster has been really good on Nuke and Vertigo.
Their opponent for this match will be the 123rd ranked Giants. HAVU is the most impressive win on their resume, and that isn't saying much as HAVU is average at best. Giants has been a really good team when facing lower-tier opponents, but they tend to fall flat when they take a step up in competition. Giants will debut a new roster for this event with the addition of RIZZZ and the return of veteran and former team member obj. The three existing members were really good on Vertigo with their other roster, and they weren't very impressive on any other map.
Pick: Dignitas Spread -5.5 Rounds (-114 @ Pinnacle)
This play feels like a no-brainer. Dignitas shook off the rust with two convincing wins recently while Giants is debuting two new players. RIZZZ hasn't been overly impressive lately before coming to the team and obj hasn't played a single competition game in a while. There is a huge gap in talent between these two teams which is quite evident by their world rankings. Hop on the Dignitas spread because there's no chance that Giants can keep this one close.
