100Thieves and Gen.G will face each other in the DreamHack Masters 2020: Online North America Group B. The DreamHack Masters Spring 2020: North America is an eight team online CS:GO tournament. North American CS:GO teams have been on the rise as Evil Geniuses and Team Liquid are constantly challenging the best EU teams in CS:GO.
The eight teams are divided into two groups of four teams each. The teams will play best-of-three matches against each other and the group’s winners will move to the upper bracket of the playoffs. The second and third-placed teams in each group move to the lower bracket of the tournament. The playoffs feature a double elimination bracket with the grand finals being a best-of-five affair.
100Thieves Preview
100Thieves has an Australian CS:GO roster which has lost most of its form since last year. The team is now ranked 11th in the HLTV rankings. While they are able to outdo some teams like Cloud9, the team has unable to match the aggression and performance of top tier teams.
Gen.G Preview
Gen.G’s CS:GO roster relies on Daps’s leadership to help the team put up some strong results. Daps is one of the best in-game leaders in North America and has helped them rise to the top of the scene. Gen.G also has BnTeT, whose rise to the top of the CS:GO scene has been rapid and impactful. Gen.G does not lack firepower but with Daps they need the time to improve their synergy and team-strategy.
