Race 5 - Claiming $30,000 (Purse -$31,000)

Eight 4-year-old and upward male runners will go six-and-one-half furlongs. #4 Gump has run fairly well recently and is coming off a third-place finish against $25,000 optional claimers at the end of June. Gump has earned both of his career victories at this distance in just three attempts. #1 Benefactor hit the board for the first time in five races and just the second time in 2020 in his last outing on July 19. The 6-year-old Kentucky gelding has good early speed and runs well at this distance. # 7 Ice Tea is not in great form but has a 66.7% WPS percentage with 11 career wins.

Picks: I like a win bet on the #4.

Race 8 - Allowance Optional Claiming $16,000 (Purse- $47,000)

Eight 3-to-5-year-old fillies and mares will go one mile. #1 Bimini is trying this level and distance for a second straight time. The 4-year-old Florida filly had a difficult trip in her last outing as she stumbled out of the gate and then got bumped but still managed to finish second, though the result ended a two-race winning streak. #2 Amadora will look to reach the podium for the fourth straight race as she finished third after weakening in her first effort at this level on the grass. #7 Flashing Diamond drops down in class following a sixth-place finish against $25,000 claimers the last time out. Flashing Diamond has excellent speed and runs well at Gulfstream as well as at this distance.

Picks: I like a win bet on the #1. I also like a #1, #2 exacta box.

Race 9 - Allowance Optional Claiming $62,500 ( Purse -$48,000)

Seven 4-years-old and upwards male runners will go one mile on the turf. #9 Harbour Master has run exceptionally well in 2020, registering an ESpeed of over 100 in each of his last three races. The 6-year-old Great Britain horse, who has hit the board in three of four events this year runs exceptionally well on the grass and is coming off a second-place finish at this distance in the Mecke Stakes.#6 Tizzarunner drops down in class after finishing fourth against $100,000 claimers going this distance, ending a two-race streak of finishing in the money. Like Harbor Master, Tizzarunner runs well at this distance. #2 Frosted Grace is in great form having finished in the money in eight of his last nine starts after finishing fifth in the Bob Umphrey Turf Sprint Stakes on July 5, marking his first foray on the grass.

Picks: I like a win bet on the #9. I also like a #9, #6 exacta box.
