Free Picks For Gulfstream Park - 9/6/20

Race 3- Allowance Optional Claiming $20,000 (Purse -$47,000)

11 male horses are slated to go one mile on the turf. This should be a very competitive race.

#8 Til The End is the most experienced of the competitors on the turf and has been very good at this distance as well as had decent success at Gulfstream. The 8-year-old horse, who has bested Rhythmia in two of the last three times they have tangled, has finished in the money in all three of his races since being claimed and moved to Saffie Joseph Jr. barn. Til The End has won each of his two most recent times coming out of the eighth hole.

#1 Rhythmia has battled gamely with Til The End the last races and this could another such occasion that happens. The 4-year-old, like Til The End, has raced better this year since being claimed and brought to Joseph Jr.’s barn and has also raced well on the turf and this distance -- cashing in 10 (5 wins) of 12 one-mile races for his career. However, Rhythmia has yet to win at Gulfstream although he has fared well coming off the rail/inside post position.

#6 Mozzo Bello could be primed for a big day after putting up an extra training session a few days ago. Mozzo Bello gets relief in distance from his last outing where he was claimed and finished third against $20,000 -$18,000 claimers. This will be the 4-year-old gelding’s first race for trainer Peter Walder, who has a 29% strike rate off of the claim in the last year. Mozzo Bello has been competitive with several currently in the field.

#4 D’Craziness has been inconsistent lately though he does get relief in distance after weakening in the stretch in a one and one-sixteenth mile race against $20,000-$18,000 claimers the last time out.D’crazziness has moved to Georgina Baxter’s barn, which has a 36% strike rate in claiming events over the last year.

Picks: I like a #8,#1, #6, #4 exacta box. I also like a show bet on #6 and #1.

Race 4- Maiden Special Weight (Purse- $50,000)

Seven 2-year-old colts will six and one-half furlongs. Two of the competitors are racing for the first time while none of the runners have previously gone this distance.

#2 Real Talk is making his debut for trainer Ralph Nicks, who has a 20% strike rate with 2-year-olds and 17% with first-timers over the last year. The son of Gemologist has also trained pretty well. Plus, jockey Emisael Jaramillo has done some good with the youngest of runners over his career.

# 4 Ahimelech showed tremendous improvement in his second outing after a difficult debut on a wet track. He will stretch out in this one, after running the past two races at five and one-half furlongs, and also add blinkers. Trainer Tim Hamm and jockey Victor Lebron have a good working relationship.

#1 The Red Man is stretching out from five-furlongs after a decent debut against maiden $25,000-$20,000 claimers where he finished third. He was claimed and moved to Carlos Perez’s barn, whose horses have finished in the top 3 in 45% of their races, from Saffie Joseph Jr.

Picks: I like a winning bet on #2. I also like a #2, #4, #1. I also like a show bet on #4.

Race 8 - Sheer Drama Stakes (Purse -$75,000)

Eight fillies and mares will go seven furlongs.

#5 Cookie Dough is by far and away from the fastest pony in the field and he could run away with the victory if he gets loose. The 4-year-old filly is making her second start off a layoff, where she tired after setting the pace in a seven-furlong affair. Cookie Dough runs well at Gulfstream Park and has a victory at the current distance. This will be the horse’s second race for trainer Juan Alvarado.

#2 Heiresall is coming off a second-place finish in the Ana T. Stakes race, for he fourth cash in eight such races. She has been training well recently and runs decently at the current distance and Gulfstream.

#1 Midnight Soiree has been running well lately and she has a 62.5% WPS percentage when running on the rate. Midnight Soiree also runs well in stakes races and at Gulfstream Park.

Picks: I like a win bet on the #5. I also like a trifecta bet of the #5 keyed with the 2,and 1.
