Ground Zero vs. Rooster Preview & Prediction - Free CS:GO Betting Picks 8/10

Ground Zero and Rooster will meet in the Upper bracket quarter-final of the ESEA MDL Season 34 Australia, and Rooster is a firm favorite to win in this best of three map clash. These sides have met on ten occasions before, and Rooster leads the series 6-4.

Ground Zero was in good form of three consecutive wins, but ORDER prevented them from getting the fourth W in a row with a 2-1 win at the DreamHack Open Summer 2020 Oceania Closed Qualifier. Ground Zero lost seven of the previous 11 matches and has a 57.1% win rate over the last three months. In that span, Ground Zero was excellent on Overpass (75.0%) and played well on Nuke (66.7%), while they are winless on Vertigo and below average on Mirage (42.9%).

Rooster was even in a better form than Ground Zero as they were on a seven-game winning streak before losing to Renegades and AVANT at the DreamHack Open Summer 2020 Oceania. They managed to get one map in each of those losses, though. Rooster won 12 of the last 15 games and has a 72.0% win rate in the last three months. During that period, Rooster was unbeaten on Nuke and Train and above average on Overpass (66.7%) and Vertigo (66.7%), while Dust2 (50.0%) proved to be their least favorite map.

Pick: Rooster to win (-213 @ Unibet)

Rooster won five of the previous six H2H matches, and although they lost the last two, I am still backing them to secure a victory here. Ground Zero will have a small chance to make an upset, and I don’t think they can get more than one map, given they won one map in the last two defeats, which also occurred in the last two H2H losses.
