Heroic vs. MAD Lions Preview & Prediction - Free CS:GO Betting Picks 8/8

The DreamHack Open Summer 2020: Europe is set to begin, and we have an upcoming battle between Heroic and MAD Lions. The eight participants of the event are broken into two groups for the Group Stage in which they will play a GSL format group featuring all best-of-three-map series, and the top two teams will advance to the Playoffs. It's worth noting that all participants will receive a payout, but there's a difference of $3,750 USD for 7th and 8th place while the 1st place team will take home $35,000 USD.

The Danish squad of Heroic comes into this battle ranking 19th in the world. They've won 67.9% of their matches over the last three months, and this is especially impressive due to the level of talent that they've faced. Heroic's core is made up by stavn, TeSeS and niko, and this trio all have their strengths. Overpass is a regular ban for Heroic as they have played no games on this map over the last three months, and Dust2 is the only other map that they don't have a win rate of at least 62% on during this time.

Their opponent will be a familiar foe in fellow Danish sqaud MAD Lions who is ranked 23rd in the world. With the departure fo Bubzkji to Astralis, MAD Lions picked up an excellent replacement in the former Illuminar player innocent. The addition of the Polish player innocent will bring a huge change to MAD Lions in the fact that their in-game communication will now switch to English instead of Danish. It's worth noting that innocent is a good player, but it will be interesting to see how well MAD Lions can communicate as a whole.

Pick: Heroic Map 1 Spread -3.5 Rounds (+100 @ Bovada)

I'm looking into an exotic prop to cut down this juice. I never thought I would see the day that MAD Lions is this big of an underdog, but here we are. I don't think that MAD Lions will be ready to compete at their full potential just yet as they build chemisty with their new player and get used to a new language with their in-game communications. Heroic has been playing top tier teams, and they've also been successful while doing so. The first map in this series will be Heroic's pick, and I expect them to absolutely roll on their on map pick. I am loving the price of even money with Heroic to take map one by a deficit of at least four rounds, and I believe they will do so with ease.
