Oh My God! (OMG) vs. Royal Never Give Up (RNG) 6/6 LPL Preview & Prediction - Free League of Legends Betting Picks

In our second LPL leg of the much-welcomed Day Two, Oh My God squares off with Royal Never Give Up, who saw themselves get dumped in the early stage of Spring playoffs after a tumultuous end of the season. And speaking of falling off, Oh My God stood in prime contention as the 8th seed in LPL all the way until the end of the season when falling off a map offensively.

OMG is apparently gauged primarily on this factor of depletion at season’s end, coming into this match a +125 underdog (per Bovada), and -245 to force three games. RNG is a solid -170 favorite while offering a +175 on the sweep in two games.

Team Comparisons & Points of Interest

OMG returns intact with all remaining members of their starting five led by mid-laner icon and their Attack Damage Carry, smlz, while rounding out with Cold, h4cker, and Curse. They tend to play at a more conservative, by-the-book pace while targeting towers and map objectives in rigid sequence.

Oh My God averaged 10.4 kills per game, second-worst in LPL just above Victory Five. Their defensive style of play, however, warrants the sixth-best deaths per game at only 12.4 DPG. Towers killed on average (5.8 per game, 12th in LPL) is slightly outweighed for OMG by their towers lost (6.2 per game, 10th in LPL), which is also indicative of their style of play getting the best of them at times.

RNG, on the other hand, did indeed make some rather noteworthy roster adjustments in separating from struggling Langx while adding fresh-blood New (can’t make that up) and stud mid-laner Cryin for Team eStar. Every bit as worthy of mentioning, Top-laner 705 joins RNG just a couple months removed from winning the LPL Spring Championship with JDG Gaming.

Royal Never Give Up’s dynamic changes entirely adding the aforementioned characters alongside Betty, Ming, and XLB as their middle-of-the-pack team stats should align to improve. RNG accounted for 10th overall in kills per game in LPL (13.2 KPG), fourth-fewest deaths per game (11.7), and a positive tower kill/loss ratio of 0.50 (6.0 TK to 5.5 TL).

Pick: Royal Never Give Up Spread/Handicap -1.5 Rounds (+175 @ Bovada)

The battle of the Mid Lane should be extremely intriguing between that of icon and newcomer Cryin, but the remainder of the playing field on paper appears to be rather lopsided in favor of RNG. They come into Summer with a bad taste from how they ended Spring abruptly in playoffs, getting tossed 1-3 by Edward Gaming in the first round.

Unless this one gets away from RNG, I wouldn’t put it past the 2-0 sweep with all things considered. And I will put my money where my mouth is.
