The Stampeders now travel north on a short week and face an Edmonton team that will have immediate motivation after losing the first half of the home-and-home series. The first meeting also showed that Calgary can create enough offense to challenge Edmonton's improved defense. The location also flips from Calgary to Edmonton. Rivalry rematches frequently create significant market reactions to the first result, and I don't want to overreact to one game after Edmonton built an 8-3 record beforehand. Take Edmonton if the spread is -2.5 or better.

Pick: Under 57.5 or Higher

Monday's 38-28 result produced 66 points, but I'm willing to come back on the Under if the rematch total is 57.5 or higher. Before that game, the Under had cashed in four consecutive meetings between these teams, and Edmonton entered Labour Day allowing only about 25 points per game. Calgary had also failed to exceed 30 points since Week 7 before suddenly scoring 38 on Monday. Edmonton's rushing attack provides another route toward a slower game because sustained ground possessions can reduce the total number of drives.
