Texas A&M vs Alabama Game Preview and Analysis

You do not normally get a true buy-low opportunity on an eight-point SEC favorite, but that is exactly what Alabama represents in this spot. The Crimson Tide are coming off an ugly loss at Florida, but injuries and constant lineup changes have driven most of that recent inconsistency.

Alabama has been without key rotation pieces at different times over the last few weeks, including Aden Holloway, Aiden Sherrell, and Latrell Wrightsell. Those issues appear to be stabilizing, and Charles Bediako is starting to anchor the defense, coming off a strong performance with four blocks and seven rebounds against Florida.

Texas A&M deserves credit for its recent win streak, but the schedule matters. The Aggies have played the weakest slate in the SEC so far and have not faced several of the league’s top teams. Outside of Auburn, every SEC win has come against teams sitting at .500 or worse in conference play. This is a big step up in class on the road.

If Alabama is truly getting healthy, this is the type of matchup where the talent gap shows over 40 minutes. I am comfortable laying the points with the Crimson Tide at home.

Key Injuries and Notes for TAM and ALA

  • Alabama has dealt with multiple recent absences but expects improved lineup stability.
  • Aden Holloway, Aiden Sherrell, and Latrell Wrightsell all missed games recently.
  • Charles Bediako is emerging as a defensive presence for Alabama.

Final Score Prediction

Alabama takes control in the second half and pulls away late as Texas A&M struggles to keep pace against a tougher opponent.

Final Score: Alabama 92, Texas A&M 82

ATS and Total Picks

  • Against the Spread: Alabama -8.5
  • Total: Under 178.5
