A season-opening loss against Florida State had the folks in Tuscaloosa gripping their pearls, but since then, the Crimson Tide are flying high, winning six straight games, including four in a row against ranked conference opponents. Versus No. 11 Tennessee, the team scored in all four quarters, and the offense went for 373 yards while the defense held on despite giving up 410 yards on the day.
Alabama ranks seventh in the SEC in scoring offense, averaging 35.1 points per game this season. South Carolina ranks dead last in the SEC in offensive scoring, averaging 20.1 points per game. They’ve gained 297.7 total yards each week, also last in the conference, with just 106.6 yards coming via their rushing game. Four players have over 100 yards rushing for the team, and Rahsul Faison leads the way with 281 yards and three touchdowns. The passing game is averaging 191.1 yards per game. LaNorris Sellers threw for exactly 124 yards in each of his last two games. On the season, he has 1,134 passing yards, 5 TDs, 2 INTs, and has been sacked 25 times, second most in the SEC. His top target has been Vandrevius Jacobs with 21 catches, 343 yards, and 3 TDs.
