Buffalo Bulls vs. Bowling Green Falcons, Preview, Odds, Picks and Prediction for Saturday, November 1, 2025

By: Robert Antuann Published 10/30/2025, 06:52 PM ET

The Buffalo Bulls visit the Bowling Green Falcons at Doyt L. Perry Stadium on Saturday at 12:00 PM ET, streaming on ESPN+. Buffalo is 4-4 overall and 3-1 in MAC play. Bowling Green enters at 3-5 and 1-3 in conference games. Both teams are looking to bounce back after losses. Before kickoff: NCAAF predictions for Buffalo Bulls at Bowling Green Falcons in one clean snapshot.

Buffalo Looking to Cut Down Mistakes

Buffalo has played solid defense this season, but needs more consistency on offense. The Bulls are averaging 22.4 points per game and giving up 21.8. Quarterback Ta’Quan Roberson leads the way with 1,603 passing yards, 11 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. Unfortunately, he played his worst game of the season in Buffalo's 24-16 home loss to Akron on Oct. 25, when he threw four interceptions. Wide receiver Victor Snow has caught 36 passes for 578 yards and seven scores. On the ground, Al-Jay Henderson has run for 544 yards and four touchdowns on 143 carries.

The Bulls average 335 total yards per game, but protection has been an issue. Roberson was sacked four times and turned the ball over twice in last week’s 24-16 loss to Akron. Buffalo outgained the Zips but gave the game away with five turnovers, including two interceptions in the fourth quarter. That defeat ended a three-game MAC win streak.

Defensively, the Bulls have been reliable. Defensive end Kobe Stewart has four sacks, and linebacker Red Murdock leads the team with 92 tackles. The defense has done its part, keeping opponents under 22 points per game, but the offense must clean up the turnovers to stay competitive.

Bowling Green Trying to Find Stability at Quarterback

Bowling Green returns home after a 24-21 loss at Kent State. The Falcons are averaging 20.6 points per game while giving up 28.9. Quarterback Drew Pyne has thrown for 830 yards, four touchdowns, and five interceptions in 135 attempts. The offense is averaging about 330 total yards per game with a fairly even run-pass mix.

Running back Chris McMillian leads the rushing attack with 317 yards and three touchdowns. Tight end Jyrin Johnson has been strong as a target with 23 catches for 278 yards. The offensive line has struggled to keep pressure off the quarterback, and the run game averages just over 120 yards per contest. The passing game has carried the load, averaging 210 yards per outing.

Linebacker Myles Bradley leads the defense with 77 tackles and four sacks. Bowling Green allows 360 yards per game and has had trouble stopping the run, though the secondary has been strong with 10 interceptions this year. The Falcons have also struggled to finish games. Against Kent State, they allowed three second-half touchdowns, including one on a trick play that erased an 18-point lead. Quarterback Baron May left late with a non-contact injury, putting the QB situation in question this week with regular starter Drew Pyne listed as questionable this week.

Buffalo Bulls at Bowling Green Falcons Pick

Spread Pick for Buffalo Bulls at Bowling Green Falcons

  • Buffalo Bulls +1.5 (4 Units)

Buffalo’s defense and more reliable quarterback play make the difference here. Roberson gives the Bulls an edge against a Bowling Green team that might be shorthanded under center. He should bounce back from an error-prone game last week. Buffalo has been stronger at stopping the run and holding opponents in the red zone. If the Bulls avoid turnovers, they have a good chance to win outright on the road. Buffalo is 7-3 ATS in the last 10 games head-to-head against Bowling Green. The Falcons are just 1-4 ATS in the last five games against a team from the Mid-American Conference and 0-5 ATS in the last five games against a team from the East division of the MAC.

Over/Under Pick for Buffalo Bulls at Bowling Green Falcons

  • Under 43.5 (4 Units)

Neither team has shown much offensive rhythm lately. Buffalo and Bowling Green combine for about 43 points per game, and both defenses can create pressure. With Bowling Green’s quarterback injuries and Buffalo’s slower pace, this matchup sets up for a lower total. Expect a game where field position and turnovers decide the outcome.
