Cincinnati Bearcats vs. Kansas Jayhawks Picks and Predictions, Saturday September 27, 2025

The College Football season has been fantastic thus far in 2025 with many high profile matchups, and on Saturday we'll see another intriguing clash with our Cincinnati Bearcats vs. Kansas Jayhawks prediction.

The Cincinnati Bearcats (2-1) fell in their season opener, but since then they've been absolutely dominant, and now, they've got the opportunity to make a major statement and prove they can be a top contender in 2025.

On Saturday they take on the Kansas Jayhawks (3-1), a team that's been rolling on both sides of the ball at home this season, with the team clearly having eyes on top spot in the Big 12 after a red-hot start to the 2025 campaign. Read on to see our Cincinnati Bearcats vs. Kansas Jayhawks prediction.

When it comes to NCAAF selections, our College Football Picks are stellar.

Can Cincinnati build on their hot start?

The Cincinnati Bearcats fell in a tight contest in their season opener, but since then, they've been rolling, outscoring their opponents by a combined score of 104-20 in that time as they are now up to 2-1 on the season. Now, they hit the road for the first time in 2025 after averaging 40 points a game through three games, with the team ranking fourth in the nation in QB rating as well as third in yards per play, with the offense being their big weapon this season.

That high-level quarterback play comes courtesy of junior Brendan Sorsby, who has posted an 8/1 TD/INT ratio on the season, all while tallying another four scores on the ground, and with six different players catching touchdowns this season, this is an incredibly well-balanced offense. Last time out for the Bearcats was a dominant victory over FCS Northwestern State, with three different QB's combining to throw seven TD's on the day, and with another three on the ground, the Bearcats not only put up over 600 yards, but held their opponents to 102 as they came away winners 70-0.

Can Kansas pick up a statement win?

The Kansas Jayhawks have played four very competitive contests this season, and with the team going 3-0 at home thus far, they're clearly full of confidence as they look to compete in the incredibly tough Big 12 conference. This season, the Jayhawks rank top-35 in the country in QB rating, scoring, yards per play and points allowed, making them one of the most balanced and surprisingly competitive teams in College Football thus far in 2025.

The biggest strength of Kansas' success thus far has been a passing attack that has seen QB Jalon Daniels put up 12 touchdowns through four games, and with three players rushing for over 150 yards on the season, the balance is clearly there. Last time out for the Jayhawks was a dominant home win over West Virginia, with the team rushing for 259 yards as Daniels tossed three TD passes, and with the defense holding the Mountaineers to just 323 yards on the day, they picked up a massive 41-10 victory.

Cincinnati vs. Kansas pick

Money line pick for Cincinnati vs. Kansas

  • Kansas -4.5 (4 units)

Both of these teams come into this game on the back of a massive victory, but with the quality of opponent that the Jayhawks have taken down in recent times, it's easy to see why they're the favorite here on the back of a 3-0 record at home this season.

While the Bearcats' offense provides a major challenge in this one, Kansas has allowed 10 or fewer points in all three home games this season, and with a balanced offensive unit of its own, expect them to pick up a statement-making victory in this matchup. This is a very balanced team that averages 222.8 yards per game in the air and 191.3 yards per game on the ground.

Over/under for Cincinnati vs. Kansas

  • Over 55.5 (4 units)

The defense of these teams go highly overlooked as a result of the offense, but after the two sides combined to score 111 points a week ago, expect this one to be a shootout as two of the best dual-threat QB's in the country do battle in this one.

For the Bearcats, the over sits at 2-1 this season, with the team averaging 40 points a game through that stretch, and for the Jayhawks, the over comes in at 2-2 in four games in 2025, with the team putting up 39 points a game in their three matchups played at home.

Keep it simple, take the over.
