Holy Cross vs Miami-OH Picks and Prediction for Saturday September 12 2026

The Holy Cross Crusaders travel to Yager Stadium in Oxford, Ohio, to face the Miami-OH RedHawks on Saturday, September 12. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 PM ET. Holy Cross is 0-2 after losses to Fordham and Colgate, while Miami is 0-1 after opening its season with a 59-14 loss at Pittsburgh. At the time of this writing the odds were not released. Holy Cross Searches for Its First Victory

Holy Cross suffered a 35-10 loss at Colgate in its second game, but the Crusaders generated 330 total yards and controlled possession for 33:29. The biggest offensive issue was the running game, which produced only 66 yards on 35 attempts.

David Lynch completed 19 of 35 passes for 264 yards, although three interceptions hurt the Crusaders. Ty Curran was the primary bright spot, catching seven passes for 130 yards, while Joseph Williams rushed for 44 yards and scored Holy Cross' only touchdown.

The Crusaders now get an FBS opponent that also struggled badly in its opener. Holy Cross needs better ball security, but the passing production against Colgate gives it a potential way to challenge a Miami defense coming off a difficult afternoon.

Miami Returns Home After Difficult Opener

Miami opened its season with a 59-14 loss at Pittsburgh. The RedHawks fell behind 21-0 in the first quarter and trailed 38-7 by halftime, making it difficult to establish any offensive balance.

Freshman quarterback David McComb did provide an encouraging performance in his collegiate debut, throwing for 240 yards and two touchdowns. Miami now takes a considerable drop in competition and should have a much better opportunity to establish its offense against Holy Cross.

The RedHawks also get their home opener after facing an ACC opponent on the road. Miami has competed in three consecutive MAC Championship Games, so there is substantially more to this team than the Week 1 final score suggests. The question for bettors is how much separation the RedHawks can create against an FCS opponent that has already shown some passing-game production.

Holy Cross vs Miami-OH Picks and Prediction

Pick: Holy Cross +17 or Better

Miami should rebound and win its home opener, but Holy Cross +17 or better is my target. The Crusaders produced 330 yards against Colgate, including 264 through the air, and Miami just surrendered 59 points at Pittsburgh. The competition level was obviously much different, but asking the RedHawks to cover more than two touchdowns after such a difficult opener is aggressive. If the market gives us 17 points or more, take Holy Cross.

Pick: Under 51.5

For the total, Under 51.5 is my target. Holy Cross has scored only 23 points through two games and managed 66 rushing yards against Colgate, while Miami should be able to control this game without needing an extremely aggressive offensive approach. A result around 31-14 or 34-14 fits the matchup. Take the Under if the total is set at 51.5 or higher.

Final Picks: Holy Cross +17 or better and Under 51.5 or higher
