The Indiana Hoosiers and Michigan Wolverines meet Saturday at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor. Kickoff is at 12:00 pm ET on Fox. No. 6 Indiana is 6-1 and tied for third in the Big Ten at 3-1 in conference play. The Hoosiers lost their first game Saturday, falling 19-15 to Ohio State after four straight wins. Michigan is 4-2 and tied for 12th in the conference at 1-2. The Wolverines beat Penn State 21-18 last weekend, ending a two-game skid. Both teams have played several close games lately. Indiana Looking to Respond

Indiana was unbeaten going into Saturday's meeting with Ohio State, but the Buckeyes held the Hoosiers to 15 points. That's a big drop from earlier victories over Rutgers, Northwestern and Western Kentucky. Indiana scored 47 against Rutgers, 29 against Northwestern and 38 against Western Kentucky without allowing a point. The Hoosiers also had a close call at Nebraska, winning 20-17. Indiana has plenty of speed on offense, but the last two games have forced the team to work much harder for points.

Josh Hoover has passed for 1,660 yards with 18 touchdowns and no interceptions. Charlie Becker has caught 39 passes for 694 yards and eight scores, while Nick Marsh has 585 yards and seven touchdowns. Indiana can run, too. Turbo Richard has 643 yards on 87 carries, averaging 7.4 yards per attempt. Lee Beebe Jr. has added 575 yards. On defense, Tobi Osunsanmi has seven sacks, and Stephen Daley has five. Isaiah Jones leads the team with 52 tackles. That pass rush could cause Michigan trouble.

Injuries: K. Martin is questionable with a forearm injury.

Michigan Trying to Build on a Win

Michigan needed last Saturday's win over Penn State. The Wolverines had lost 20-19 to Iowa and 20-14 at Minnesota before pulling out a 21-18 victory. They've had a hard time getting much going on offense against Big Ten opponents. Michigan scored 52 against UTEP in September, but that production hasn't carried over into conference games. The passing numbers help explain why. The Wolverines have thrown for just 994 yards through six games, leaving their rushing attack to do much of the work.

Bryce Underwood has completed 72 of 124 passes for 924 yards, five touchdowns and six interceptions. JJ Buchanan leads the receivers with 482 yards and four touchdowns. Jordan Marshall has rushed for 293 yards and four scores, while Underwood and Savion Hiter each have 223 rushing yards. Michigan's defense has made some important plays. John Henry Daley has four sacks, and Troy Bowles leads the Wolverines with 50 tackles. But protecting Underwood against Indiana's pass rush will be a serious challenge.

Injuries: A. Sprague is out. B. Norton, K. Bell, Z. Marshall and L. Forbes are questionable.

Key To The Game

Indiana has recorded 24 sacks, and Michigan's passing game has struggled. If the Hoosiers keep Underwood under pressure, the Wolverines will have to depend even more on the run. Michigan needs to slow Richard and stop Becker from getting loose downfield.

Indiana vs Michigan Game Pick

  • Indiana Hoosiers -7

Indiana lost a close game to Ohio State, but the Hoosiers have more ways to score than Michigan. Hoover has thrown 18 touchdowns without an interception, and Richard is averaging 7.4 yards per carry. Michigan has scored only 54 points in three conference games, with Underwood throwing more interceptions than touchdowns this season. Indiana's defensive front will create problems. The Hoosiers will win and cover the seven-point spread on Saturday.

Indiana vs Michigan Over/Under Pick

  • Under 41.5

Michigan has scored 21 points or fewer in four of its last five games, and Indiana just managed 15 against Ohio State. Both defenses have players capable of disrupting drives, especially Indiana's pass rush. Michigan also depends heavily on the running game, which can keep the clock moving. The Hoosiers have explosive playmakers, but another lower-scoring Big Ten contest looks likely. This game will finish under the 41.5-point total Saturday.
