Louisville is currently 9th in the conference with a 4-4 conference record and a 7-4 overall record. They are hoping to avoid making it a four-game losing streak with a win on Saturday. Meanwhile, Kentucky is sitting at 11th in the conference with a 2-6 conference record and a 5-6 overall record. Wildcats Rarely Winning
Kentucky got demolished by Vanderbilt last week, losing by a score of 45-17. Cutter Boley completed 26/44 passes for 280 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions.. Seth McGowan led the ground game with only 27 yards rushing and Willie Rodriguez led the receiving core with 78 yards and six catches. Daveren Rayner had eight tackles and seven tackle assists to lead the defense, while Ty Bryant had the only interception for the Wildcats.
Boley has taken the majority of reps at the quarterback position for Kentucky, completing 67.3% of his passes for 2,060 yards, 15 touchdowns, and ten interceptions. McGowan is the leading rusher with 720 yards on 163 carries, including 12 touchdowns. Kendrick Law is the leading receiver for the Wildcats with 50 receptions and 524 yards with three touchdowns. To put it in comparison, nobody else has more than 27 receptions on the season. Rayner has 66 total tackles to lead the defensive unit, but Ty Bryant is right behind him with 64. Steven Soles Jr. is the leading pass rusher with 3.5 sacks to his name and Terhyon Nichols has the most passes defended on the year with five. Ty Bryant remains the only player with 3+ interceptions on the season for Kentucky. Sixteen players are technically listed on the injury report for the Wildcats, but all but one are questionable to play on Saturday.

Cardinals Keep Losing Close Games
Louisville fell by a large margin to SMU in their latest contest, losing by a score of 38-6. Deuce Adams led the QBs with 12/17 completed passes for only 94 yards. Brady Allen attempted only three passes and completed two but he threw one interception with six yards as well. Shaun Boykins led the rushing attack with 52 yards and Chris Bell caught a team-high five passes with 46 yards. D'Angelo Hutchinson led the defense with five tackles and five tackle assists while Adonijah Green had the only sack for the Cardinals.
Miller Moss is the primary QB for the Cardinals, and he has completed 64.3% of his passes for 2,344 yards, 11 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. Isaac Brown still leads the team in rushing with 782 yards, while Brown is second with 592 but has the most touchdowns with six. Chris Bell has the most receptions and yards with 72 and 917, respectively. He also has a team-high six TD receptions. On the defensive side, TJ Quinn has the most total tackles with 77, while nobody else has more than 69. Rene Konga and D'Angelo Hutchinson each have five passes defended to lead the squad and Antonio Watts has three interceptions to lead the team. Seven players are listed on the injury report for the Bulldogs, including Moss and Bell. All except Bell are listed as questionable for Saturday's contest. Bell will not be able to play on Saturday.
Kentucky vs Louisville Pick
Spread Pick for Kentucky vs Louisville
- Kentucky +3 (4 units)
I correctly predicted SMU would annihilate Louisville last week, and they have given me nothing that would give me confidence to take them in this game as well. Kentucky got destroyed last week as well, but at least they have the excuse of facing a potential playoff team. The SEC is the toughest conference in college football and considering they have covered in four of their last five games, I feel more inclined to take the Wildcats. Moss's status will also need to be examined prior to gametime but Bell being out also leaves the Cardinals without their top receiver and the focal point of their passing attack. Kentucky should be able to at least hang around in this one.
Over/Under pick for Kentucky vs Louisville
- Under 46.5 (4 units)
Again, this is assuming Moss will not play again next week for Louisville. Bell being absent from Louisville's depth chart on Saturday will be a big loss. I expect the Cardinals to lean more towards the ground game as a result in this one. Louisville has hit the under in four of their last six overall and the Wildcats have given up 20 total points combined in their last three games against at least one decent team in Florida.
