Troy Looks To Bounce Back
The Trojans are coming off a tough loss last week to Clemson with a final score of 27-16. This was a close loss as the Trojans looked amazing in the first half, leading 16-3, but blew their lead in the third quarter as they allowed 17 points. Troy now has a record of 1-1 and looks to improve from last season, where they ended with a 4-8 record.
Troy has not looked impressive in their first two games of their 2025 season. The Trojans had an impressive first half in their last game against Clemson; however were unable to find enough defense in the second half to keep their lead. This may be due to the Trojans having issues on defense defending against the pass. Troy this season may be 59th in passing yards allowed, but sits 100th in passing yards averaged per completion at 7.5. On top of this, the Trojans also have an issue taking penalties so far this season, ranking 99th in penalty yards and 132nd in penalties on first down. This discipline may cause the Trojans to allow more yards than their defensive stats may suggest.
