North Texas Mean Green at Charlotte 49ers Pick

Spread Pick for North Texas vs. Charlotte

  •  North Texas -27.5 (4 Units)

North Texas brings one of the nation’s most productive offenses against a Charlotte defense ranked near the bottom in every major category. The Mean Green average 45 points per game and just held UTSA to 17, while Charlotte allows 34.9 per contest and has been outscored by an average of 18 points in conference play. The turnover disparity - +10 for North Texas versus -10 for Charlotte is further evidence of the gap between the two. Expect the Mean Green to control this game early behind Mestemaker’s passing and a potent red-zone attack.

Over/Under Pick for North Texas vs. Charlotte

  • Under 62.5 (4 Units)

While North Texas can score in bunches, Charlotte’s offensive limitations make it unlikely this game reaches the mid-60s. The 49ers average only 17 points per game and have failed to score more than 26 in any of their last four contests. North Texas should build a comfortable lead and use the run in the second half, slowing the pace. The Mean Green’s improving defense, particularly against weaker opponents, should hold Charlotte under 20 points, keeping the total below the posted number.
