Ole Miss vs Florida Picks and Prediction for Saturday September 26 2026
The No. 8 Ole Miss Rebels visit the Florida Gators at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville, Florida, on Saturday, September 26, 2026. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 PM ET with coverage on ABC. Ole Miss enters this SEC road matchup with considerable momentum after defeating No. 7 LSU 32-24, while Florida gets the Rebels in one of the most difficult road environments in the conference. The all-time series is tied at 13-13-1, and Ole Miss won last year’s meeting 34-24. At the time of this writing the odds were not released. Ole Miss Carries Major Momentum Into Gainesville
Ole Miss has already produced two important victories this season, opening with a 41-38 win over Louisville before beating Charlotte 41-9. The Rebels then faced their biggest test against No. 7 LSU and emerged with a 32-24 victory. That gives Ole Miss a strong résumé heading into its first true SEC road challenge.
The offensive production has been particularly encouraging. Ole Miss scored at least 32 points in each of its first three games, including 41 twice. Producing 32 against LSU carries considerably more weight than running up points against an overmatched opponent because it demonstrates that the Rebels can generate offense against SEC-level personnel.
The challenge now changes from opponent quality to environment. Gainesville can be extremely difficult for visiting offenses, and Ole Miss cannot afford the procedural mistakes that often accompany SEC road games. The Rebels need to stay composed early, protect the football and avoid allowing Florida’s crowd to become a major factor.
Florida Has Home Field and Recent Series Success
Florida has reason to believe it can make this difficult. The Gators won 24-17 when Ole Miss last visited Gainesville in 2024, and Florida owns victories in three of the last four meetings despite losing 34-24 in Oxford last season. This has historically been a competitive series rather than one dominated by either program.
The matchup becomes particularly interesting because Florida can use its home environment to challenge an Ole Miss offense playing away from Oxford. The Gators need to prevent explosive plays and make the Rebels sustain long drives. Ole Miss has demonstrated enough offensive firepower that giving up short fields could quickly create separation.
Florida also needs offensive balance. Ole Miss has already shown that it can reach the 30s against strong opposition, meaning the Gators probably cannot expect to win simply by keeping the game in the teens. Florida needs enough sustained offensive success to keep the Rebels from controlling possession and dictating the second half.
Ole Miss vs Florida Picks and Prediction
Pick: Ole Miss -3 or Better
Ole Miss has supplied the stronger early-season evidence, particularly with its 32-24 victory over LSU. Florida’s home field is enough to prevent me from laying a substantial number, but a field goal or less is reasonable with a Rebels team that has already demonstrated it can beat high-level competition. If this moves beyond -3.5, the value becomes considerably less attractive.
Pick: Over 52.5 or Lower
Ole Miss has scored 41, 41 and 32 in its first three games, giving the Rebels a clear path toward reaching the upper 20s or low 30s again. Florida’s home-field advantage should also help the Gators contribute offensively. At 52.5 or lower, a result around 31-24 is enough to get us there.
Final Picks: Ole Miss -3 or Better and Over 52.5 or Lower
