Oregon vs Ohio State Picks and Prediction

Pick: Oregon Ducks 7.5

Oregon has the offensive talent and overall team speed necessary to challenge Ohio State in this matchup. The Ducks should be able to generate opportunities by spreading the field and forcing the Buckeyes to defend multiple offensive threats. Ohio State has plenty of talent on both sides of the football, but Oregon could find success by establishing an aggressive offensive rhythm and avoiding predictable passing situations. The Ducks will also need to create defensive pressure and force Ohio State into difficult third-down situations. Look for Oregon to rely on its offensive versatility and ability to create explosive plays to keep this game close with a legitimate opportunity to secure the road upset.

Total Pick: Under 46.5

Both teams have enough offensive talent to produce points, but the importance of this matchup could lead to a more conservative approach at times. Ohio State has the defensive personnel necessary to challenge Oregon's offensive rhythm, while the Ducks should look to limit explosive plays and force the Buckeyes into long possessions. Both teams will need to protect the football and avoid giving their opponent short fields. Expect a physical matchup with defensive adjustments playing a major role as the game progresses. Look for both defenses to make enough stops to keep this matchup under the total.

Final Picks: Oregon Ducks +7.5 and Under 46.5
