Browne is the primary QB for the Boilermakers, completing 59.5% of his passes for 1,689 yards, eight touchdowns, and seven interceptions. He is also second on the team in rushing with 51 carries, 175 yards, and four touchdowns. Mockobee is the main rusher with 125 carries, 521 yards, and four touchdowns. Michael Jackson III Heidenreich is by far the #1 receiver on the team with 44 receptions for 398 yards. To put it in perspective, nobody else on the team has more than 20 receptions. However, Nitro Tuggle has the most TD receptions with four. Mani Powell has the most total tackles with 76 and 32 solo tackles. CJ Nunnally IV has a team-high five sacks and the combination of Smiley Bradford and Hudauri Hines each have five passes defended on the season. Bradford is tied with Myles Slusher as the only two players on Purdue's roster to have an interception this year as well. Six players are listed on the injury report for Navy, with Slusher listed as one of the five questionable players for Saturday's game. Only Jalil Hall is labeled as out for this upcoming contest.

Wolverines Looking for Wins

Michigan is up to #21 now as they most recently defeated Michigan State by a score of 31-20. Bryce Underwood didn't have to do much as he completed only eight of 17 passes for 86 yards. Justice Haynes carried the load on the ground with 152 yards rushing on 26 carries with two touchdowns. Jordan Marshall also chipped in 110 yards with a TD. Andrew Marsh led the receiving team with three catches for 54 yards. Jimmy Rolder led the defense with nine tackles and one tackle assist, while Derrick Moore had a pair of sacks on the day.

While they do not necessarily lean on him as much as others, Bryce Underwood is the QB1 for the Wolverines. So far this year, he has completed 61.1% of his passes for 1,526 yards, seven touchdowns, and two interceptions.

Haynes has the most yards rushing with 857 while obtaining 121 carries. He also has a team-high ten touchdowns on the ground. Donaven McCulley is the leading receiver with 378 yards and 25 receptions, along with two scores. However, Andrew Marsh is trailing close behind with 351 yards on 21 catches and two touchdowns. Ernest Hausmann has the most total tackles on the team with 55, while he and Rolder each have 34 solo tackles. Offensively, Michigan is 4th in the Big 10 with 220.1 rushing yards per game.

Moore has a team-high 6.5 sacks to his name, and both Zeke Berry and Jyaire Hill each have five passes defended on the year. Cole Sullivan is the only one to have more than one interception for the Wolverines this season, and he has three. Eleven players are listed on the injury report for the Wolverines, with Moore listed as one of the five questionable players. All the rest are considered out.

Purdue vs Michigan Pick

Spread Pick for Purdue vs Michigan

  • Michigan Wolverines -22 (4 units)

Over the past five meetings, Michigan has covered in four of them. The only reason they didn't cover last year was that the spread was set at 31.5 points, and Purdue lost by only 28. Considering the spread is much lower at -22, I expect Michigan to dominate their conference opponent. Purdue has nothing going for them with six losses in a row heading into this game and zero conference wins. Michigan, on the other hand, is pushing closer and closer to a playoff spot. They cannot afford to slip up here. I imagine the Wolverines will continue to dominate on the ground and wear out Purdue's defense to eventually run away with this one.

Over/Under pick for Purdue vs Michigan

  • Under 49 (4 units)

Purdue has never put up fewer than ten points against Michigan, and they have scored 20+ points in three of their last four games. I expect them to get around 13 points in this one. On the other side, aside from one game against Central Michigan, the Wolverines have not scored more than 34 points in a game this year. When a team relies on the run more than the pass, they will obviously score fewer points, but they can still be effective on offense. Purdue is 6-2 on the under this year, and Michigan has hit the under in three of their last four games. I expect the game to slow down in the fourth quarter as Michigan will look to run out the clock more than anything else.
