Gamecocks looking for upset
It's been a rough season in Colombia, with South Carolina having lost four straight games after beating up on Kentucky 35-13 on Sept. 27. The SEC is a bear and the Gamecocks have lost four straight, combining for just 43 points in that span. This will be their fifth game against an opponent who was ranked 14th or better in the AP Poll. USC probably played their best game against then-No. 4 Alabama on Oct. 25, leading by eight points late in the game, before falling apart in the final few minutes, losing 29-22.
In their last game on Nov. 1, they fell at then No. 7 Ole Miss 30-14. QB LaNorris Sellers completed 16 of 30 for 180 yards with a TD and a pick. The Gamecocks had three fumbles and one lost in that game. SC ranks 42nd in turnover margin (+0.3) on the season.

Aggies trying to avoid letdown
Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko's team has won nine straight, but if he wants to remind him that South Carolina can be dangerous even at 1-6 in the SEC, he'll just show them film of last year's 44-20 loss, where the Gamecocks ran all over them for 286 yards. The Aggies are 9-0 for the first time since 1992 and 6-0 for the first time in the SEC since joining the league in 2012. If the Aggies have a slight weakness, it's on the ground, where they allow 128.3 yards per game (42nd). Last week, they were able to beat Missouri 38-17 as QB Marcel Reed threw for 221 yards with a TD.
Reed, is in the mix for the Heisman Trophy, with odds around +850, trailing Indiana QB Fernando Mendoza and Ohio State QB Julian Sayin. Reed is completing 62.3% of his passes for 2,193 yards with 19 TDs and six picks. He's rushed for 378 yards with six TDs. Rueben Owens II leads with 542 yards rushing and five scores.
Mario Craver leads all receivers with 46 catches for 775 yards and four TDs. However, he's listed as questionable for this game with an injury. KC Concepcion adds 40 catches for 629 yards and eight TDs.
Texas A&M ranks 17th with 459.8 yards per game of offense and 19th in rushing (204.9ypg). On defense, they are allowing 317.3 yards per game (22nd) and 189 passing yards (28th).

Spread Pick for South Carolina vs. Texas A&M
South Carolina vs. Texas A&M Pick and Prediction
- South Carolina +18.5 (4 units)
South Carolina is coming off a bye, and the Aggies are a little banged up from the last game. It's human nature to overlook a team like South Carolina. They played well against Alabama at home and lost at Mizzou by nine, LSU by 10, and it got away from them against Ole Miss, who is an explosive team. Craver would be a big loss for the passing offense as he limped off the field against Missouri. The Aggies can beat South Carolina without Craver and then can rest him against FCS Samford before facing rival Texas on Nov. 28.
- Under 49.5 (4 units)
South Carolina is not going to win a shootout against A&M like last year. Their offense has been dreadful, which has led to unders in three of four games. But their defense isn't bad and they know they have to stop Reed from getting out of the pocket and control the running game first. It won't be easy, but we're looking at a 24-13 game or something similar score-wise.
