Can South Florida continue their impressive start?
Through two weeks, many had the South Florida Bulls as underdogs against both Boise State and Florida, but with the team coming away 2-0 with a point differential of +29, they've shown that they can be a very dangerous team in 2025. In those two games, it's been the Bulls' defense that has led their success, giving up a combined 23 points thus far on the season, as they've limited their two ranked opponents to that despite allowing over 350 yards in each of those games.
Offensively, South Florida is led by QB Byrum Brown, who has thrown just one Touchdown this season but has protected the ball well, with the team finding their immense success thus far despite just five total scores through two weeks. Last time out for the Bulls was a tight win over the Florida Gators, with the offense doing just enough to protect the ball in this one as they came away winners 18-16 despite allowing 355 total yards on the day from the 13th-ranked Gators.

Can the Hurricanes pick up a statement win at home?
The Miami Hurricanes came into 2025 with high expectations, and after two fantastic offensive showings, they head into this ranked clash looking to solidify themselves as a top five team in the nation this season. Through two games, the Hurricanes have been very balanced, holding their opponents to just 27 points while putting up an impressive 72 of their own, with both the offense and defense ranking top 50 in yards and points.
The standout for Miami thus far has been QB Carson Beck, who has completed 76% of his passes along with a 4/0 TD/INT ratio, and if they can keep protecting the ball the way they have to this point in the season, this will be a very hard team to beat in 2025. Last time out for the Hurricanes was a dominant win over Bethune-Cookman, with the 'Canes not only putting up over 500 yards, but also keeping their opponents to just 191 as they blew them away 45-3.

Heading into the season, this matchup could have looked like a blowout, but with the Bulls going 2-0 against ranked opponents thus far, this may be one of the showdowns of the week in college football.
A year ago, however, this matchup was a blowout, with the Hurricanes coming away winners 50-15, and while this contest should be much, much tighter, with Miami being so balanced and dominant on both sides of the ball, they should pick up a tough win in this one.
