Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns vs Missouri Tigers Pick and Prediction September 13th, 2025
The #25 Missouri Tigers will host the Louisiana Rajun' Cajuns on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. EST in Faurot Field. Check out our Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns vs Missouri Tigers pick and prediction here!
The Ragin' Cajuns are looking to avoid slipping back to under .500 with a win here. They are currently 1-1 and tied with all but one team in the SBC West division. They were 7-1 in their conference with a 10-4 record overall last year, so they are hoping to get back to that level with a huge win here. Meanwhile, Missouri is 2-0 and tied with the big-name teams in the SEC. Last year, Missouri finished fourth in the conference, but they have their sights set on bigger goals this year as they sneak their way into the top 25. The Tigers are a massive favorite as a 27.5 point favorite while the total is set at 47 points. Can the Tigers continue to climb up the rankings with a win at home here?

Louisiana Looking for More
The Ragin' Cajuns earned a comfortable 34-10 victory over the McNeese State Cowboys last week. Daniel Beale completed 14 of 22 passes for 86 yards and a touchdown while Bill Davis led the way on the ground with 132 rushing yards on 19 carries and two scores. Steven Blanco added 69 yards rushing and a touchdown as well. Zylan Perry had the second-most yards with 94 and Darius Wade had a team-high 19 yards receiving on the day. Landon Baptiste caught the only TD pass and Caden Jensen led the team with three receptions. Defensively, Maurion Eleam had six tackles, and Caleb Kibodi had a sack to his name. Jalen Clark had the lone interception for Louisiana in the effort.
Louisiana didn't have many transactions, with seven transfers entering the squad and twelve players departing. TE Terrance Carter Jr. was the biggest name to leave the program as the only four-star player. However, QB Walker Howard and WR Shelton Sampson Jr. will be coming in from Ole Miss and LSU, respectively to reshape the offense.
Louisiana is headlined by their rushing attack on offense compared to their passing from their QB's. Bill Davis has 190 rushing yards through two games to lead the team while Zylan Perry has a respectable 140 rushing yards to his name. Walker Howard and Daniel Beale have split time as the QB for the Ragin' Cajuns, with both players under 100 yards passing. Howard has the interception while Beale has the only TD pass thus far. Shelton Sampson Jr. leads the receiving core with five receptions for 63 yards. Defensively, Jaden Dugar and Terrence Williams lead the squad with 13 tackles each, although Williams has the most solo tackles with 11. Three players, including Williams, have one sack each while Tyree Skipper and Brent Gordon Jr. each have one pass defended. Jalen Clark has the only interception for Louisiana thus far.

Missouri Making Noise
The Tigers earned a 42-31 victory over the Kansas Jayhawks in last week's affair. Beau Pribula had three touchdown passes and no interceptions to go with 334 yards and 30/39 passes completed. Jamal Roberts had only 13 carries, but rushed for 143 yards with a TD. Ahmad Hardy had the most carries with 25 and also eclipsed 100 yards with 112. He also scored a TD on the ground. Kevin Coleman Jr. was the leading receiver with 126 yards on ten catches with a TD. However, Brett Norfleet caught two touchdown passes to lead the squad. On defense, Daylan Carnell had a team-high four tackles and also added a pick. Zion Young and Darris Smith each recorded a sack on the day as well.
Missouri added 22 incoming transfers to the program, and 25 players have departed in the offseason. The biggest names among incoming transfers include Damon Wilson II (edge from Georgia), Kevin Coleman Jr. (WR from Mississippi State), and Nate Johnson (edge from Appalachian State). Some notable losses include DL Williams Nwaneri and DL Jaylen Brown.
Through two games, Beau Pribula has a 79.1% completion percentage for 617 yards, five touchdowns, and no interceptions. As great as those stats are, we need to see him against the top-tier teams in the SEC before we can evaluate his success. Hardy has the most rushing yards with 212, although Jamal Roberts is not far behind with 176. Pribula and Hardy are tied with two rushing touchdowns each. Norfleet has the most TD receptions with three, but Coleman Jr. has the most receptions and yards with 16 and 174. Josiah Trotter is leading the unit with 13 tackles and Damon Willson II has the most sacks with two. Drey Norwood has the most passes defended with two and Dante McClellan is the only other player, along with Carnell, that has an interception this year.
Louisiana vs. Missouri State Pick
Spread Pick for Louisiana vs. Missouri State
- Missouri -27.5 (5 units)
I didn't see enough from the passing game for Louisiana for me to think they can hang around with Missouri. While they did have a good rushing day against McNeese State, Missouri is a different animal. Should the run game be stagnant, I don't trust the Ragin' Cajuns being successful consistently with the pass. They may become one-dimensional early, which sets up for a Missouri blowout. The SEC is arguably the toughest conference in all of college football, so Missouri will be more than prepared to face this team. They are 9-1 ATS in their last ten as well.
Over/Under pick for Louisiana vs. Missouri
- Over 47 (4 units)
Considering Missouri is favored by over 27 points, I suspect their offense will do enough to almost reach the over by themselves. Louisiana might do enough to reach double digits in this one and Missouri should take care of the rest. The Tigers did give up 31 points to Kansas last week, so that gives me more confidence in the over. Missouri has hit the over in their last three games and they are averaging just under 37 points per game in their last seven outings.
