Diamondbacks Looking to Get Back to .500

The Arizona Diamondbacks are looking to bounce back after Friday’s 9-8 road loss to the Minnesota Twins in their most recent game. The Diamondbacks were able to go 10-for-37 with four walks and six strikeouts at the plate as Geraldo Perdomo and Gabriel Moreno each hit a homer while they also each stole a base. Arizona finished 4-for-9 with runners in scoring position while leaving eight men on base. Brandon Pfaadt did not factor into the decision as he pitched 4.2 innings and allowed five runs.

Right-hander Nabil Crismatt is going to be taking the mound for the Diamondbacks in this game and has been pitching well in limited action as he is 2-0 with a 3.24 ERA and a 1.40 WHIP in 25.0 innings over five games (four starts). He has been doing a great job in terms of limiting the amount of homers hit as he has allowed three this year or better than one every eight innings. Crismatt has not faced the Twins since the 2022 season so this will be a good test for him.
