The Baltimore Orioles begin a three-game series against the Minnesota Twins at Target Field in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on Monday, August 10, 2026. The first pitch is scheduled for 7:40 p.m. ET. MLB.TV, MASN, Twins.TV, FOX 9, and Gray Media are listed as television options for the matchup. At the time of this writing the odds were not released. Only two and a half games separate these teams in the standings, and neither club has established much consistency. Baltimore leads the season series 2-1 after the teams met three times in March. Two of those games were decided by one run, while the Orioles won the most recent meeting 8-6. Monday’s pitching matchup appears to favor Baltimore, but Minnesota has produced the better offensive numbers over the full season.

Starting Pitchers

Trevor Rogers will start for Baltimore opposite Minnesota right-hander Dean Kremer. Rogers is 7-7 with a 4.20 ERA and a 1.24 WHIP through 115.2 innings. He has allowed 111 hits and 32 walks while recording 98 strikeouts and surrendering 11 home runs. Kremer is 1-4 with a 5.93 ERA and a 1.32 WHIP across 41 innings. He has allowed 41 hits, issued 13 walks, and recorded 40 strikeouts. Kremer’s biggest concern has been the long ball, as he has already conceded 12 home runs in his limited workload.

Baltimore Searches for an Offensive Response

The Orioles enter Monday with a 56-61 overall record and a 24-31 mark away from home. Baltimore won consecutive games against the Angels before dropping its next three contests. The Orioles scored only three combined runs during those three defeats, including back-to-back losses at Texas by scores of 2-1 and 5-1.

Baltimore is batting .234 with 518 runs, 904 hits, and 134 home runs. The Orioles have recorded a .319 on-base percentage and a .390 slugging percentage. Their pitching staff carries a 4.19 ERA and a 1.33 WHIP with 930 strikeouts and 389 walks while allowing opponents to bat .251.

The Orioles’ most significant advantage comes from Rogers and the team’s ability to reach base. Despite possessing the lower batting average, Baltimore’s .319 on-base percentage is narrowly better than Minnesota’s .318 mark. Rogers has also allowed fewer home runs in 115.2 innings than Kremer has surrendered in only 41 innings. Baltimore must convert those opportunities after batting struggles resulted in three straight losses.

Minnesota Returns Home Looking for Consistency

The Twins enter the series at 58-60 overall and 30-27 at Target Field. Minnesota went 2-3 across its five most recently supplied games, defeating Kansas City 4-3 and Milwaukee 8-6. The Twins scored three runs or fewer in each of their three defeats, including a 4-3 loss to the Brewers on Saturday.

Minnesota owns a .244 team batting average with 550 runs, 968 hits, and 139 home runs. The Twins have produced a .318 on-base percentage and a .406 slugging percentage. Their pitching staff has recorded a 4.60 ERA, a 1.38 WHIP, and 969 strikeouts while issuing 429 walks. Opposing hitters are batting .251 against Minnesota pitching.

Minnesota has the stronger offensive profile, leading Baltimore in batting average, runs, hits, home runs, and slugging percentage. The Twins have also played better at home than the Orioles have on the road. However, Minnesota’s pitching remains a substantial concern. Kremer’s home-run rate could create scoring opportunities for a Baltimore lineup that has been quiet recently but still possesses enough power to punish mistakes.

Baltimore Orioles vs Minnesota Twins Picks and Prediction

  • Pick: Baltimore Orioles Moneyline

Baltimore is the preferred side because of its starting-pitching advantage. Rogers has the lower ERA and WHIP while working nearly three times as many innings as Kremer. His ability to limit home runs is especially important against a Minnesota lineup with a .406 slugging percentage.

Minnesota has the stronger offense and a winning home record, so this should be a competitive matchup. However, the Twins have the higher team ERA and WHIP, and Kremer has surrendered 12 home runs in only 41 innings. Take Baltimore on the moneyline if the price is reasonably close to even money.

  • Pick: Over 8.5

Take the over if the total is set at 8.5. Kremer’s 5.93 ERA and elevated home-run rate create the potential for Baltimore to break out of its recent offensive slump. Minnesota’s bullpen and overall pitching staff also enter with a 4.60 ERA and a 1.38 WHIP.

Rogers provides Baltimore with the more dependable starter, but he still owns a 4.20 ERA. Minnesota has scored 550 runs and holds meaningful season-long advantages in batting average and slugging percentage. Both teams should have opportunities against pitching staffs that have allowed opponents to bat .251.

Final Score Prediction: Baltimore Orioles 6, Minnesota Twins 4
