In his last outing, Cannon went 2.1 innings, allowing 5 runs against the Twins, and before that, he went 1.2 innings, allowing seven runs against the Mariners. Cannon has two appearances with the Rays with an 8.68 ERA as he's allowed 10 runs, 9 earned in 9.1 innings. Chicago has a team ERA of 4.23, which ranks 19th.
Offensively, the White Sox are hitting .236, which ranks 27th, while in the month of September, they are hitting .283. Against Tampa Bay, in three games this season, Chicago is slashing .262/.316/.458.

Cannon has struggled mightily as of late, and the Rays' offense should be able to hit the right-hander hard and give Pepiot an early lead. Pepiot, meanwhile, has pitched well as of late, as he should be able to carve up the White Sox lineup, which has struggled this year.
