Dodgers in full defense mode of title
The Dodgers worked themselves out of a few late jams and got some big outs on the base paths to stay alive in Monday’s marathon. Shohei Ohtani has another other-worldly effort, going 4-4 with 2 home runs, 2 doubles, 3 RBIs, and 3 runs. He hit .458 with 5 home runs and 8 RBIs over the last six games. He set a record by reaching base nine time on Monday. The team is hitting .248 through 13 playoff games with 60 runs. Dodgers’ hitters have hit 19 home runs, and they’ve struck out 122 times while drawing 49 walks. Kike Hernandez collected another two hits on Tuesday, his fifth multi-hit effort this postseason. The outfielder has five home runs in the postseason with 12 RBIs.

Blue Jays vs. Dodgers Picks
Money Line Pick for Blue Jays vs. Dodgers
- Dodgers ML (5 units)
After the first two games were a bit one-sided, we got a real up-for-grabs affair on Monday night, and we are in store for even more of that moving forward. Ohtani has been nearly flawless over the last two months and has very much looked like a pitcher 100% back from Tommy John surgery. Bieber has only made 10 starts since returning from the same injury and has had his ups and downs. He’s gone 3 2/3 innings or less in two of his three playoff starts and against this Dodgers lineup, he could be in for another short stint. The Los Angeles lineup struggled to score in Game 1, after a full week off, but have since picked up the pace, collecting a combined 10 runs and 18 hits in the last two games. They are hitting .270 at home this postseason with 9 home runs and 30 runs.
Take the Dodgers
Over/Under Pick for Blue Jays vs. Dodgers
- Over (5 units)
Surprisingly, the offenses have prevailed, scoring at least a combined 10 runs in two of the first three games of the series. When Ohtani is swinging a hot stick, it’s tough to keep the Dodgers down. They’ve scored five or more runs, three of their last four games and four of their last six. The Dodgers’ superstar is pulling double-duty on Tuesday night and while he has been amazingly doing so, the team shouldn’t rely on him putting the team completely on his back again. He is still limited in innings, so Toronto will be able to get to the Dodgers’ shaky bullpen. The Blue Jays scored four runs or more in four of their last five games. The over is 3-1-1 in the last five games between the teams.
Take the over.
