Brooklyn Nets vs Atlanta Hawks Picks and Prediction for Saturday November 7 2026

By: Kim Smith Published 11/07/2026, 12:05 AM ET

Brooklyn heads to Atlanta on Saturday for a 7:30 PM ET game against the Hawks at State Farm Arena. The Nets have been having trouble scoring, and Atlanta has been playing better basketball lately. But there’s a catch. The Hawks have Washington on Friday night, so they’ll be playing for the second straight day. Brooklyn gets a little extra rest. That makes this more interesting than the records suggest, although I’m still leaning toward Atlanta.

Brooklyn Nets Have Been Fighting for Points

Brooklyn is 2-6 after beating Charlotte 114-104 on Wednesday. That’s two wins in three games for the Nets, who also beat Indiana 98-90 before losing 103-90 to the Knicks. It’s not exactly a winning streak, but at least Brooklyn has been competitive lately. The defense has given the Nets a chance in a few games. Scoring enough to finish the job has been the problem.

Brooklyn is averaging 106.6 points and allowing 112.9. The Nets are shooting 44.4% from the floor, and they aren’t getting enough easy baskets to cover up the cold stretches. Atlanta is allowing 113 points per game, so there should be opportunities. But Brooklyn needs to make those shots. The Hawks play at a quicker pace, and the Nets don’t want to spend the entire night trying to catch up.

Egor Demin is out, and Tyler Bilodeau is also unavailable. Noah Clowney and Day’Ron Sharpe have been dealing with availability questions. That matters because Brooklyn needs its frontcourt to help control the glass. The Nets have been competitive when they rebound and defend, but they’re not built to chase a team scoring 120.

Atlanta Hawks Have Been Better With the Ball

Atlanta is 5-4 heading into Friday’s game against Washington. The Hawks beat the Wizards 120-105 on Wednesday and knocked off Indiana 108-104 on Monday. That’s two straight wins after getting handled 121-99 by New Orleans. Atlanta has been inconsistent, but the offense looks better when the ball keeps moving and everybody gets involved.

The Hawks are scoring 115.8 points per game and allowing 113. They’re playing at one of the quicker paces in the league, and they’ve been much better about avoiding turnovers than Brooklyn. That’s the difference I keep coming back to. Atlanta doesn’t need to shoot lights out to win if it gets more quality possessions and keeps Brooklyn from getting easy transition points.

Jalen Johnson’s ankle is worth monitoring. He’s been an important playmaker and rebounder, and Atlanta would miss that production if he can’t go. Jock Landale, Mouhamed Gueye, Asa Newell, and Keshon Gilbert are also listed out. That’s a lot of frontcourt depth missing, especially with the Hawks playing consecutive nights. Atlanta has the better offense, but fatigue and injuries could give Brooklyn a chance to hang around.

Brooklyn Nets vs Atlanta Hawks Picks and Prediction

Moneyline Pick: Atlanta Hawks

I’m taking Atlanta. Brooklyn has been playing a little better, and the rest advantage is real. The Hawks could be tired after Friday’s game with Washington. But the Nets are scoring only 106.6 points a night, and Atlanta has enough offensive ability to make that a problem. I trust the Hawks to get better shots and take better care of the basketball. Brooklyn might keep it close into the fourth quarter. I still like Atlanta to win at home.

Total Pick: Under 226.5 Points

Give me the under 226.5 if that’s the posted number. Atlanta wants to play fast, and that worries me a little. But Brooklyn hasn’t been scoring enough to keep up with good offensive teams. The Nets have been involved in games finishing at 188, 193, and 218 combined points in their last three outings. Atlanta could get into the 115-to-120 range, but I’m not convinced Brooklyn gets much past 105. The Hawks’ second game in two nights might also take a little something out of their legs.

Final Picks: Atlanta Hawks Moneyline | Under 226.5 Points (if available)
