Bulls vs. Cavaliers Picks
Spread Pick for Bulls vs. Cavaliers
- Bulls to cover (4 units)
Last season, the Cavs swept the series between the two, going 4-0 SU and 3-1 ATS. This Bulls team is a different beast, as are the Cavs, who, after their outstanding run last season, have come back down to earth a bit. The absence of Dosunmu has been much larger than anticipated for Chicago, which averaged just 114.5 points per game without him. However, they were able to pull one out without him earlier in the week and should have resilience in coming back in that game. They need someone to step up and take more shots, but Giddey and Vucevic as a base is proving to be a perfect formula for the group. Cleveland has been solid this season, but teams have started to figure them out. Chicago can bang with their bigger guys and should be able to control the paint to gain the advantage in this game.
Take the Bulls.
Over/Under Pick for Bulls vs. Cavaliers
- Over (4 units)
In four games last season, these two teams averaged a combined 251.5 points per game. This matchup features two teams that are about in the middle third of the league in terms of scoring. Both are shooting over 45% from the field, and both average at least 14 threes a night. So, they can light things up in a hurry. On top of that, the Bulls rank 10th in pace with an average of 102.6 possessions per 48 minutes, per DunksandThrees.com, and the Cavs check in at 11, averaging 102.5 possessions per 48 minutes. This should be a quicker-paced affair. The main pieces have younger legs on them and the ability to last while scoring big. The over is 4-1 in the last five games between the two.
Take the over.
