Dallas Mavericks vs Phoenix Suns Picks, Prediction, Odds, and Line Movement for Tuesday February 10 2026
Mavericks vs Suns picks stand out on Tuesday because both teams are trending in opposite directions, and the total has a lot of support based on pace and recent defense. Dallas is sliding hard and giving up points in bunches, while Phoenix is getting key scorers back and needs to build momentum before the break. That combination makes this matchup one of my favorite targets for NBA picks.
TLDR - Picks and Prediction
- Spread Pick: Suns -7.5

Odds and Line Movement
The spread has stayed steady in the 7.5 range, and the market is clearly expecting Phoenix to control this game at home. The total is where I see the most opportunity. It has been bouncing between the mid-220s and the high-220s, and I still think points are the best angle because Dallas is playing fast and not defending.

Mavericks vs Suns Game Preview and Analysis
Phoenix has had Dallas’ number recently. The Suns are 4-1 straight-up and 4-1 against the spread in the last five meetings, and the most recent matchup was a nine-point Phoenix win in Dallas in mid-November.
Both teams are on equal rest after playing Saturday, but the current form is not the same. Phoenix needs to build momentum before the All-Star break after back-to-back home losses as a favorite against Golden State and Philadelphia.
The good news for Phoenix is the injury report is improving. Devin Booker and Jalen Green both returned against the 76ers after missing several games. They were rusty, combining to go 1-for-10 from three-point range, but the important part is they are back on the floor.
Dallas is trending the other way. The Mavericks are trying to snap a seven-game losing streak, and they were swept in a two-game series against the Spurs over the weekend.
Phoenix is also on the front end of a back-to-back. The Suns host Oklahoma City on Wednesday, so this is not a spot where I expect Phoenix to empty the tank for 48 minutes. But I do think it is a spot where the Suns can score.
The biggest reason I like the over is Dallas’ pace and defense. Over the last 15 games, the Mavericks have played at the third-fastest pace in the league. That is great for totals, but it becomes a problem when you cannot stop anyone.
Dallas has allowed at least 110 points in 11 of its last 12 games. That includes giving up 135 and 138 points to San Antonio in two games over the weekend. That is not a defensive profile I want to back, especially against a Phoenix offense that is getting healthier.
Klay Thompson is questionable for the Mavericks, and head coach Jason Kidd gave an encouraging update on Kyrie Irving. Irving is expected to return after the All-Star break as he recovers from a torn ACL. That does not help Dallas tonight, but it does show the Mavericks are still thinking about the long game.
Phoenix had no problem scoring against Dallas in the first meeting, and I expect that again on Tuesday. Even if Booker and Green are still shaking off rust, their presence alone raises the Suns’ offensive ceiling and makes it harder for Dallas to load up on one option.
Because Dallas is playing fast and giving up points, I see this as a strong over spot. And if Phoenix is scoring efficiently, the Suns should also be able to cover a spread in the 7.5 range.
DAL and PHX Key Injuries and Notes
- Devin Booker returned to the lineup against Philadelphia after missing several games.
- Jalen Green returned to the lineup against Philadelphia after missing several games.
- Booker and Green combined to go 1-for-10 from three-point range against the 76ers.
- Klay Thompson is questionable for Dallas.
- Kyrie Irving is expected to return after the All-Star break as he recovers from a torn ACL.
- Phoenix is on the front end of a back-to-back and will host Oklahoma City on Wednesday.
Final Score Prediction
I expect Phoenix to score early and often against a Dallas defense that has been leaking points for weeks. Dallas should be able to contribute enough offense because of pace, but I do not trust the Mavericks to get stops when it matters.
- Projected Final Score: Suns 123, Mavericks 114
