Pistons Have Won 11 Games In A Row

Detroit continues to ride the hottest streak in the NBA. The Pistons improved to 13-2 after a 120-112 win over the Atlanta Hawks on November 18, their 11th straight victory. Cade Cunningham returned from a three-game absence and immediately made his presence felt, scoring 25 points and dishing 10 assists, while Jalen Duren celebrated his 22nd birthday with 24 points and eight rebounds. Duncan Robinson provided an early spark with three triples in the opening minutes, and Ausar Thompson added defensive energy off the bench. Detroit’s offense cooled late, but Cunningham closed the game with clutch buckets to keep the streak alive.

Offensively, the Pistons have been one of the league’s most efficient teams, averaging 118.9 points per game while shooting 48.1% from the field. Cunningham has been the engine, averaging 27.3 points and nearly 10 assists, while Duren has emerged as a dominant interior presence with 20.6 points and 11.9 rebounds per game. Detroit’s balance is evident, with contributions from Tobias Harris, Ausar Thompson, and Duncan Robinson stretching defenses. Their rebounding edge — 46.9 boards per game, fifth in the NBA — ensures they control possessions, and their ability to share the ball has made them difficult to defend.

Defensively, Detroit has been just as impressive, ranking third in points allowed (112.1 per game) and holding opponents to 43.9% shooting. Isaiah Stewart and Duren anchor the paint, while Cunningham and Thompson provide perimeter pressure. The Pistons’ ability to contest shots and rebound has kept opponents from finding rhythm, and their defensive efficiency has been a key factor in the winning streak. Heading into Milwaukee, Detroit will look to continue dictating pace and lean on Cunningham’s playmaking to exploit a Bucks team missing its superstar.

The Bucks Are Slumping

Milwaukee sits at 8-8 after a tough 123-114 overtime loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on November 20, a game where Tyrese Maxey erupted for a career-high 54 points. Ryan Rollins matched his own career high with 32 points and added 14 assists, while Bobby Portis scored 19 and Kyle Kuzma chipped in 17. The Bucks rallied late, even taking the lead on a Myles Turner three with 14 seconds left, but Maxey’s free throws forced overtime and Philadelphia pulled away. The defeat marked Milwaukee’s fourth loss in five games, and they continue to search for consistency without Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is sidelined with a left adductor strain.

Offensively, Milwaukee averages 117.4 points per game and ranks fifth in field-goal percentage at 49.5%. Even without Giannis, they’ve had strong contributions from Rollins, who is averaging 18.3 points and nearly six assists, and Turner, who adds 12.4 points with solid rim protection. Kuzma and Portis provide secondary scoring, while Gary Trent Jr. and AJ Green stretch defenses with perimeter shooting. The Bucks’ three-point efficiency has been elite, hitting 41.3% from deep, second in the NBA, which keeps them competitive even when missing their star.

Defensively, Milwaukee has struggled, allowing 119 points per game and ranking in the bottom third of the league. They’ve been vulnerable in transition and have had difficulty closing out shooters, though their rebounding has improved to 46.4 boards per game. Turner provides shot-blocking, but the absence of Giannis leaves a major hole in rim protection and defensive rotations. Against Detroit, the Bucks will need Rollins and Kuzma to carry the scoring load while tightening up defensively to avoid being overwhelmed by the Pistons’ balanced attack.

Detroit Pistons vs Milwaukee Bucks Pick

Pistons vs Bucks Spread Pick

  • Milwaukee +9 (4 Units)

Taking Milwaukee +9 makes sense given the circumstances. Even without Giannis, the Bucks have shown they can hang around with quality opponents thanks to their shooting efficiency. They’re hitting 49.5% from the field and an elite 41.3% from three, which keeps them in games even when they’re outmatched physically. Ryan Rollins has stepped up as a reliable scorer at 18.3 points per game, while Myles Turner and Bobby Portis provide steady frontcourt production. That perimeter shooting and balanced scoring give Milwaukee the tools to stay within striking distance against Detroit’s defense.

The spread also feels generous considering Detroit is riding a long winning streak and could be due for regression. The Pistons have leaned heavily on Cade Cunningham and Jalen Duren, but Milwaukee’s ability to stretch the floor with multiple shooters can force Detroit’s defense into uncomfortable rotations. If Rollins, Kuzma, and Trent Jr. knock down shots, the Bucks can keep pace and cover the number even if they don’t win outright. With their three-point efficiency and veteran depth, grabbing Milwaukee +9 looks like a sharp play in this spot.

Pistons vs Bucks Over/Under Pick

  • Under 224.5 (4 Units)

The Under 224.5 looks appealing because both Detroit and Milwaukee lean on defense and slower half‑court possessions, especially with Giannis sidelined. The Pistons rank third in the NBA in points allowed (112.1 per game) and hold opponents to just 43.9% shooting, while Milwaukee has struggled offensively without their star despite strong three‑point efficiency. Detroit’s rebounding edge and ability to control tempo often keep scores in check, and the Bucks’ reliance on perimeter shooting rather than transition play further points toward a lower total. With both teams likely grinding through possessions rather than trading fast‑break buckets, the Under 224.5 has solid value.
