Warriors getting all involved
The Warriors are now on their second two-game winning streak after picking off wins at home on Monday and Tuesday. Against Memphis, they extended their offense and scored over 130 points for the second time this season, and versus the Clippers, they absolutely locked them down with defense.
Three different players have taken the reins as the team’s top scorer in a game. Of course, Stephen Curry was one of those guys twice, and he’s averaged 27 points on 50.6% shooting from the field, hitting 4.4 threes a night. Draymond Green is leading the team with 7.2 assists per game. The offense is averaging 120.8 points per game, the 10th-best mark in the NBA, and they are shooting 48.4% from the field while averaging 17.4 threes per game. They are 10th in the league with a 1.83 assist-to-turnover ratio, and they turn the ball over 16.4 times a night.
Defensively, the team is allowing 115.2 points per game, 11th in the NBA, and opponents are shooting 49% from the field against them. They were able to hold the Clippers to just 36.6% shooting in their win on Tuesday. Down low, the Warriors are collecting 41 rebounds a night, 24th in the league. They manage to coax 19.2 turnovers per game out of their opponents via 10 steals and 3.8 blocks a night. Curry has two steals against the Clippers, the third time this season he’s had at least two swipes. Jonathan Kuminga is leading the club with 7.4 rebounds a night to go with 16.2 points.

Bucks week at home off on right foot
For the first time this season, the Bucks will be spending the entire week on the home front, playing three games. Their win over the Knicks on Tuesday came in the wake of a Sunday loss at Cleveland, their first of the year. Milwaukee’s defense stood tall in the second half, holding New York to just 40 points as they pulled away.
The Milwaukee offense ranks seventh in the league, averaging 122.3 points per game. They are shooting 52% from the field and hitting 14.8 threes per game. They are also seventh in the league in assist-to-turnover ratio, with a 1.90 mark, and they’ve drawn 21 fouls a night. Giannis Antetokounmpo has scored over 30 points in each game and has three double-doubles so far. He leads the Bucks with 36.3 points, 14 rebounds, and seven assists per game. The star forward is dealing with a knee injury and was listed as probable for this matchup. Ryan Rollins is second on the team with 15.3 points per game.
On the defensive end, the Bucks are giving up 116.3 points per game, 14th in the NBA. Opponents are hitting 45.9% of their shots from the field against them, including 13.3 threes per game. Warriors vs. Bucks Picks
Spread Pick for Warriors vs. Bucks
- Golden State -3 (4 units)
This is the first of two regular season meetings between the teams. Last season, Golden State went 2-0 SU and ATS. The Warriors’ defense hasn’t been locking things down all season so that makes what they did against the Clippers even more eye opening. It shows their ability to adjust and still pick up a win in a variety of manners. The Warriors are able to rely on a wealth of different scorers so if someone happens to have an off night, they are usually covered. Milwaukee cannot say the same as Giannis is still very much the man that all things flow through. They are also still without starting point guard Porter, which limits the distribution around the horn a bit as well. Golden State is 6-4 SU and 7-3 ATS in their last ten games against the Bucks.
Take the Warriors, giving the points.
Over/Under Pick for Warriors vs. Bucks
- Over 231 (5 units)
In two games last season, the teams averaged a combined 216.5 points per game. This 231-point total requires each team to score 116 points, if each carries the same weight. Considering Golden Starte scored at least 119 points in four of five games, and Milwaukee scored at least 121 points in three of four games, this shouldn’t be a big ask. The Bucks have one of the game’s top scorers on their side and with him healthy in the early stages of the season, expect him to continue to ball out. The Warriors still boast one of the game’s all-time greatest shooters, among a few other superstars. The over is 4-2 in the last six games between the teams and 7-1 combined between the two this season.
Take the over.
