Golden State Warriors vs Phoenix Suns Picks and Predictions for Saturday, October 24, 2026

Neither Golden State nor Phoenix enjoyed opening night. The Golden State Warriors visit the Phoenix Suns on Saturday at Mortgage Matchup Center, with tipoff at 10:00 pm ET on NBA TV. Golden State is 0-1, tied for third in the Pacific Division after losing 127-105 to the Lakers. Phoenix is also 0-1 and tied for third following a 124-83 loss at Portland. The Warriors host Memphis on Friday before traveling to Phoenix, so Saturday completes a back-to-back for Golden State. Both clubs need a better showing than Wednesday's opener. Golden State Warriors Need More Than Curry

The Warriors were right there after the first quarter against the Lakers, trailing by just one. Then the offense disappeared. Golden State scored 19 points in the second quarter and 16 in the third, and Los Angeles ran away with the game. The Warriors lost by 22, allowing 127 points while collecting 36 rebounds and two blocks. The Lakers' size caused trouble around the basket. Golden State also made just eight of 36 three-point attempts. That's a difficult combination for a team that needs its outside shooting to create room inside.

Stephen Curry scored 23 points to lead Golden State in that opener, but the supporting cast had a frustrating night. Brandon Williams added 14 off the bench, while Gui Santos and Will Richard shared the team lead with five rebounds each. Draymond Green had eight assists, the most on the Warriors, and joined Graham Ike with one block apiece. Curry made seven of his 15 shots, but several teammates couldn't get comfortable offensively. The Warriors need more production around him, especially when opponents force the ball away from Curry.

Injuries: Charles Bassey and Brandin Podziemski are questionable. Kristaps Porzingis, Moses Moody and Jimmy Butler III are out.

Phoenix Suns Want to Forget That Opening Quarter

Portland scored the first 21 points Wednesday, and Phoenix never really recovered. The Suns trailed 43-12 after one quarter and were down 33 at halftime. By the final buzzer, the Trail Blazers had won 124-83. Phoenix made just six three-pointers and shot 36% from the field. The Suns grabbed 39 rebounds and recorded six blocks, but that didn't come close to making up for the missed shots. After allowing 124 points, Phoenix needs to make the next opponent work harder for open looks.

Devin Booker scored 23 points on 7-for-13 shooting, giving Phoenix one bright spot in a miserable opener. Khaman Maluach led the Suns with six rebounds, while Jalen Green and Oso Ighodaro shared the assists lead with three apiece. Maluach was one of six Phoenix players to record a block; Miles Bridges, Booker, Green, Rasheer Fleming and Pat Spencer had one each. Booker needs teammates to make shots when defenses pay him extra attention. Phoenix got very little outside of its leading scorer against Portland, and that has to change.

Injuries: Luke Kennard and Oso Ighodaro are questionable. Mark Williams is out with a shoulder injury.

Key To The Game

Golden State had trouble rebounding against the Lakers, and Phoenix couldn't buy a three-pointer against Portland. The Warriors need better work around the rim, while the Suns need someone other than Booker to provide reliable scoring.

Golden State Warriors vs Phoenix Suns Game Pick

  • Golden State Warriors

Neither side inspired much confidence in its opener, but Golden State has Curry to steady the offense when shots stop falling. Phoenix got a solid game from Booker and almost nothing else. The Warriors also have Green creating opportunities for teammates, something the Suns struggled to do against Portland. Golden State must defend the paint better, but its experience should help in a close matchup. The Warriors win in Phoenix Saturday.

Golden State Warriors vs Phoenix Suns Over/Under Pick

  • Under

Both openers were ugly offensively. Golden State managed 105 points against the Lakers, while Phoenix scored only 83 against Portland. The Warriors made eight threes, and the Suns hit just six. Booker and Curry can change a game quickly, but neither team has shown dependable support around its leading scorer yet. With so many missed shots in the first games, the under looks like the safer direction for Saturday's matchup.
