As for Coach Doc Rivers and his Milwaukee Bucks, they’re coming off of a season where they won the NBA Cup in-season tournament. This year’s team is 6-3 out of the gate, and they’re coming off of a nice win on Friday over the Bulls (126-110). Milwaukee is currently 6-3 ATS and 5-4 to the over.
It was none other than Giannis Antetokounmpo leading the way on Friday, registering a double-double with 41 points and 15 boards. He also led the team with nine assists. I’m going to lay the points and play the Rockets in this game. For starters, I don’t really trust that the Bucks have the depth scoring to hang around in this game. They have Giannis Antetokounmpo (33.4 PPG), but after him there’s really no reliable second option for the Bucks.
Additionally, I like that the Rockets have the size to match up well with the Bucks. They rank first in rebound rate (55.9%) and they also boast a top-10 defense. This could spell trouble for Milwaukee, since their lineup is pretty top-heavy. I’ll take Houston, who is on an 8-4 ATS run overall and has covered in four of their last five head-to-head meetings with Milwaukee.
