The Kings looked on their way to their second loss in their last game, but Domantas Sabonis pulled down an offensive board and scored on the putback with 12 seconds remaining to give the Kings a 105-104 home win over the Utah Jazz. Sacramento shot 48.2% and 44.2% from beyond the 3-pt arc and forced 20 turnovers and the Jazz shot 44.2% and 31.7% from long range. Zach LaVine had another big game with 31 points, Dennis Schroder had 17 points, and Malik Monk had 20 points off the bench. The Kings failed to cover as a 6-point favorite and their opening was a Pick.
Sabonis averaged 19.1 ppg and 13.9 rpg last season and after missing the first game with an injury, he had 12 points and 12 rebounds in the last game.
