LA Clippers vs Golden State Warriors Picks and Prediction for Sunday November 1 2026
Golden State was down 25 points to the Lakers Friday night. Twenty-five. Then the Warriors came back and won by 17.
Meanwhile, the Clippers were getting beaten by 26 in Minnesota.
Tell me which team you’d rather have your money on right now.
I know the Warriors can drive you crazy. They’ll turn the ball over, fall behind, and suddenly start playing like they forgot how basketball works. But Stephen Curry is still capable of taking over a game, and the Clippers haven’t been giving anybody much trouble lately.
Los Angeles visits Chase Center in San Francisco on Sunday, November 1, with tipoff at 8:30 PM ET. Golden State has won three straight, while the Clippers have lost four in a row. I couldn’t verify a current sportsbook spread or total, so I’m going with Golden State on the moneyline and using a clearly identified target number for the total. LA Clippers Have Been Going the Wrong Way
The Clippers are 1-4, including 0-3 on the road. They’ve lost four straight, and Friday’s 127-101 defeat in Minnesota was another ugly one. The Timberwolves shot 53.1 percent from the floor and scored 62 points in the paint. That’s not the sort of defensive effort that makes me want to back Los Angeles against Curry.
The Clippers shot 41.2 percent in that loss and turned the ball over 18 times. They actually made 40 percent of their three-pointers, but it didn’t matter because Minnesota got so many better looks closer to the basket. That’s the problem. The Clippers haven’t been controlling the parts of the game that usually keep a struggling offense competitive. If they let Golden State run after turnovers, things could get ugly again.
Darius Garland scored 24 points against Minnesota, adding five assists, so he’s at least giving the Clippers some dependable offense. He’s also averaging 21.5 points and 6.5 assists through the early season. But Brandon Ingram is out with a heel problem, Bradley Beal is unavailable with a knee injury, and Max Strus and Jordan Miller are also sidelined. That’s a lot of missing scoring and depth. The Clippers need more than one good night from Garland to turn this around.
Golden State Warriors Have Something Going
Golden State is 3-3, including 1-1 at home. The Warriors lost their first three games, then won three straight. Friday’s 112-95 victory over the Lakers was the most impressive of the bunch. Not because they played perfect basketball. They didn’t. But coming back from 25 down and winning comfortably tells you this team can still respond when things start going wrong.
The Warriors forced Los Angeles into 22 turnovers and got 50 points from their bench. That’s the kind of production that makes a difference. Golden State also outscored the Lakers 66-33 from three-point range. Now, I’m not expecting that shooting advantage every night, but the Warriors have enough outside shooting to punish a defense that’s been giving up easy looks. The Clippers just allowed 127 points. That’s not encouraging.
Curry scored 31 against the Lakers, hitting eight three-pointers. Brandin Podziemski added 21 points, while De’Anthony Melton scored 16 off the bench. Golden State is still missing Jimmy Butler, Moses Moody and Kristaps Porzingis, so this isn’t a healthy roster by any means. But Curry has been averaging 28.8 points, and the Warriors have found enough help around him to win three straight. Right now, that’s more than the Clippers can say.
LA Clippers vs Golden State Warriors Picks and Prediction
Golden State Warriors Moneyline
I’m taking Golden State. The Clippers have enough veteran talent to snap a losing streak, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Garland has another good scoring night. But Los Angeles is missing too many pieces, and its defense just got pushed around by Minnesota. Curry is coming off a 31-point game, and Golden State’s bench has started producing. I don’t need another 25-point comeback. I’d actually prefer the Warriors to play a normal basketball game for once. I think they get ahead and stay there.
Under 229.5 Points — Target Total
I’ll look Under 229.5 if that’s the number available. The Clippers scored only 101 against Minnesota and 87 against the Lakers in their previous game. That’s not enough offense to make me comfortable betting a high total. Golden State can score quickly, but the Warriors also held the Lakers to 95 on Friday. The danger is Curry getting hot early and the Clippers giving up another 125 or more. Still, I see something around Golden State 116-105. That would keep us Under.
Final Picks: Golden State Warriors Moneyline and Under 229.5 Points (target total)
