Lakers led by Doncic and "Threaves"
Austin Reaves is going to be a very wealthy shooting guard next season. Reaves had 31 points in Friday's 118-104 win over the Pelicans. It was a nice bounce-back for the Lakers, who were thrahsed by Oklahoma City 121-92 on Nov. 12. Deandre Ayton added 20 points and 16 rebounds for the Lakers, who shot 52.4% from the field and held New Orleans to 43.8% shooting.
Ayton has been a nice pickup for the Lakers in the offseason. Ayton is averaging 15.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game, while shooting 67.2% from the field. Luka Doncic leads the Lakers with 34.9 points, 9.1 rebounds and 8.9 assists. Reaves adds 28.3 points, 8.3 assists and 5.1 rebounds on 47% shooting (30% 3pt). He's held the fort when Doncic has been out (played eight games), and with LeBron James rehabbing a back issue
The Lakers rank third in the league in shooting (50.3%), but just 23rd in three-point shooting (33.7%). They also rank 18th in three-point defense (36.4%).

Bucks struggling with consistency
Milwaukee is coming off a 111-100 loss at Charlotte on Nov. 12 as a 2.5-point favorite. Milwaukee shot 40% from three-point range and turned the ball over just nine times, but still managed to lose to the Hornets. That's despite 25 points and six assists from Ryan Rollins, who has come out of nowhere to average 17.2 points and 5.7 assists on 52.7% shooting. Charlotte won the game by crushing the Bucks on the boards by 16. Moussa Diabate led the Hornets with 13 rebounds as Milwaukee played without their best rebounder, Giannis Antetokounmpo, who missed the game but is not on the injury report.
The Bucks rank 4th in three-point defense (33.8%) and 11th in field goal defense. Offensively, they are shooting 40% from beyond the arc to rank third in the NBA. Their biggest issue has been at the free-throw line where they are shooting 69.6% (30th). Antetokounmpo leads the Bucks with 33.4 points, 11.9 rebounds and 6.2 assists with 1.3 blocks. Myles Turner, the former Indiana Pacers' big man, adds 12.4 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.0 blocks.

It's never easy going with a team that plays in the second of a back-to-back. The Lakers may even rest a player or two in this one, but the Bucks should have Giannis back. If they can get Kevin Porter J. back at some point, they could be in the mix in the East. Rollins has come out of nowhere to give them stability at the point and Myles Turner gives them a more athletic Brook Lopez, a stretch five who can block shots. Ayton will be neutralized in this game.
