Magic vs. Celtics, Picks, Prediction, Odds for Sunday, November 23, 2025
Use Code SSWC We have one of the youngest and most talented teams in the NBA, taking on a team expected to struggle in the Magic vs. Celtics prediction. Orlando (10-7) is off to a solid start, but expectations were high. They appear to be on track, having won three straight and six of seven. The Celtics had won three straight before falling to lowly Brooklyn 113-105 on Friday as a 14-point favorite. These teams met twice, with Boston winning the last game 111-107 on Nov. 9, and Orlando winning 123-110 on Nov. 7. Both games were played in Orlando. Boston is a 4.5-point favorite and the total is 220.5. Check out more basketball winners and NFL picks on Stat Salt.
Magic are getting in a groove
Orlando had some ups and downs early in the season, but they appear to be coming together. On Saturday, the Magic defeated the Knicks at home 133-121, despite not having star forward Paolo Banchero (groin). Forward Franz Wagner stepped up in his place with 37 points, six rebounds and seven assists, while shooting 4 of 6 from 3-point range. Desmond Bane added 27 points and five assists, while Jalen Suggs contributed 26 points. Orlando shot 55% from the field and 39% (13-of-33) from long range.
On DunksandThrees.com, Orlando is ranked 6th overall in Adjusted Net Rating, 16th in Adjusted Offensive Rating and second in Adjusted Defense. Banchero is averaging 21.7 points and 8.7 rebounds, but Wagner now leads the team in points per game with 23.5, adding 6.4 rebounds and 3.9 assists. Bane, formerly with Memphis, adds 17.4 points and 4.5 assists per game. He's shooting just 33.7% from long range.
Three-point shooting has been a little off the mark as the Magic are shooting 35% from the field (21st).

Key Injury Report for Magic:
- F Paulo Banchero (groin) is out.
C's shocked at home by the Nets
Boston is basically where they should be at .500, but they should be over .500 had they taken care of business on Friday night. After beating Brooklyn on Tuesday, 113-99, the Celtics were shocked 113-105 at home by the Nets on Nov. 21. Jaylen Brown had 26 points and Anfernee Simons added 23 points to lead Boston. The Celts couldn't cover Michael Porter Jr, who scored 33 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Brooklyn to their third win of the season. The Nets also shot 52% from the field.
Brown leads Boston with 27.4 points per game on 50.3% shooting from the field. Payton Pritchard adds 16.5 points, but is shooting just 43.7% from the field and 33.1% from long range in 32 minutes per game. According to DunksandThrees.com, Boston is ranked 13th overall in Adjusted Net Rating, 8th in Adjusted Offense and 13th in Adjusted Defense.
Spread Pick for Magic vs. Celtics
Magic vs. Celtics Prediction and Pick
- Boston -4.5 (4 units)
If Orlando had Banchero, I would lean towards them. But they have no rest and Boston has to be embarrassed after the loss to the Nets. Boston had been playing pretty good basketball and they should be able to take advantage of a tired team playing without their best post player in Banhero. Boston is one of the top defensive teams in the league, ranking third in field goal defense.
Over/Under Orlando Magic vs. Boston Celtics
- Under 220.5 (5 units)
I just mentioned how good Boston is on defense. They rank second in the NBA in points allowed per game at 108.8. They are the slowest-paced team in the league, ranking 30th, while Orlando is ranked 19th. The Celtics have gone under in two straight and five of their last six games. At home, Boston is allowing 111 points per game
