Miami Heat vs Sacramento Kings Picks and Prediction for Sunday November 8 2026

By: Kim Smith Published 11/08/2026, 12:35 AM ET

Miami heads to Sacramento on Sunday night for a 9 PM ET game against the Kings at Golden 1 Center. The Heat just lost 120-100 to Golden State on Thursday, while Sacramento was beaten 124-109 by San Antonio on Friday. Neither team has been defending particularly well, but Miami has been scoring considerably more consistently. Sacramento is still looking for its first home victory. That’s not a great sign.

Miami Heat Need to Get Back on Track

Miami is 3-6 overall and 2-3 on the road after losing by 20 to Golden State on Thursday. The Heat had beaten the Clippers 117-116 the night before, so they’ve shown they can win close games. But they’ve also been inconsistent. One night the offense looks good, and the next it struggles to get anything going.

Miami is averaging 116 points per game and allowing 122.6. That’s a problem. The Heat can score, but they haven’t been getting enough stops to win consistently. Against Sacramento, though, the matchup is favorable because the Kings are allowing even more points. Miami should have opportunities to get into the paint and create good looks without needing a perfect shooting night.

The Heat need better defensive communication and more consistent rebounding. They can’t afford to let Sacramento get comfortable early, especially on the road. But Miami has been generating enough offense to make this a winnable game. The Kings haven’t shown much ability to slow opponents down.

Sacramento Kings Have Been Struggling Everywhere

Sacramento is 1-8 overall and 0-4 at home after losing 124-109 to San Antonio on Friday. The Kings also lost 116-103 to the Lakers on Wednesday. That’s been the story. Sacramento can have decent stretches, but it hasn’t been able to sustain them for four quarters.

The Kings are averaging 109.2 points and allowing 123.3. That’s one of the worst scoring differences in the league. Sacramento hasn’t been generating enough offense, and the defense has been giving opponents too many easy chances. Miami has been scoring 116 points a game, so the Heat should have opportunities to take advantage.

Keegan Murray, De’Andre Hunter, and Maxime Raynaud are listed out. Those absences hurt Sacramento’s depth, particularly with the Kings already struggling defensively. Sacramento needs somebody to help control the glass and make life difficult for Miami inside. Without that, the Heat could have a pretty comfortable night offensively.

Miami Heat vs Sacramento Kings Picks and Prediction

Moneyline Pick: Miami Heat

I’m taking Miami. Neither team has been playing great basketball, but Sacramento is 1-8 and winless at home. That’s difficult to overlook. The Kings are allowing more than 123 points a game, and Miami has been scoring 116. The Heat could certainly make this uncomfortable with their own defensive mistakes. But I trust Miami’s offense more, and that’s enough to get me on the visitors.

Total Pick: Over 225.5 Points

Give me the over 225.5 if that’s available. Miami is allowing 122.6 points, and Sacramento is allowing 123.3. Neither defense has been doing much to discourage opponents from scoring. The Heat should have opportunities to reach 115 or 120, and the Kings can contribute enough against Miami’s defense to push this past 225. The concern is Sacramento’s offense going cold again. But I think this is one of the better over opportunities on Sunday’s slate.

Final Picks: Miami Heat Moneyline | Over 225.5 Points (if available)
