Philadelphia 76ers vs Cleveland Cavaliers Picks and Prediction for Friday November 6 2026

By: Kim Smith Published 11/06/2026, 12:20 AM ET

Philadelphia heads to Cleveland on Friday for a 7:30 PM ET game against the Cavaliers at Rocket Arena. The 76ers have been one of the best teams in basketball through the first couple of weeks, while Cleveland has been struggling to finish games against good opponents. The Cavaliers just lost to Oklahoma City, and Philadelphia beat Detroit on Wednesday. Cleveland is a slight favorite in an early market listing, with the spread around 1.5 points and the total at 234.5. That’s interesting because I’m not convinced the Cavaliers deserve to be favored here. Get into the action with our free NBA picks.

Philadelphia 76ers Keep Winning Basketball Games

Philadelphia is 8-1 after beating Detroit 112-106 on Wednesday. That’s four straight victories for the 76ers, and the win over the Pistons was particularly impressive because Detroit had been playing some good basketball itself. Philadelphia also beat Chicago 126-107 on Monday. The Sixers haven’t needed everything to go perfectly to keep winning.

Philadelphia is averaging 111 points while allowing only 105.2 per game. That defensive number is what jumps out at me. The Sixers aren’t leading the league in scoring, but they’re making opponents work for just about everything. That’s a good formula against Cleveland because the Cavaliers have been giving up plenty of points themselves.

Philadelphia has enough offensive talent to take advantage of Cleveland’s defensive mistakes, and the Sixers have been getting the job done without depending on one huge scoring performance every night. Dominick Barlow and Ariel Hukporti are listed out, which affects the frontcourt depth, but Philadelphia has been finding ways to win despite its availability issues.

Cleveland Cavaliers Need to Tighten Up Defensively

Cleveland is 4-4 after losing 124-116 to Oklahoma City on Wednesday. The Cavaliers also lost 117-112 to the Thunder on Monday, so that’s two straight defeats against the same opponent. Cleveland has been scoring enough to compete, but the defense hasn’t been doing its share lately.

The Cavaliers are averaging 119.3 points per game, which is one of the better offensive numbers in the league. The problem is they’re allowing 117.1. That’s a lot of points, especially when you’re facing a Philadelphia team that’s been winning with defense. Cleveland can score, but it needs to stop giving opponents so many easy opportunities.

The Cavaliers have the home floor, and that’s important. They’ve been better in Cleveland than on the road. But Jaylon Tyson and Peyton Watson are listed out, which leaves some questions about defensive depth. Cleveland needs a much better effort than it gave Oklahoma City if it’s going to beat a Philadelphia team that’s been winning consistently.

Philadelphia 76ers vs Cleveland Cavaliers Picks and Prediction

Spread Pick: Philadelphia 76ers +1.5

I’m taking Philadelphia and the 1.5 points. Cleveland has the better offensive average, and the Cavaliers can certainly win this game at home. But Philadelphia is 8-1 and allowing only 105.2 points per game. That’s a pretty good argument for taking the points against a Cleveland team that’s given up 241 combined points in its last two games. The Sixers have been playing better defense, and I trust them to make the important stops late. Give me Philadelphia, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the 76ers win outright.

Total Pick: Under 234.5 Points

Give me the under 234.5. Cleveland has been involved in some high-scoring games, and that’s the obvious argument against this pick. But Philadelphia has been allowing just over 105 points per night, and I think the Sixers will try to keep this from turning into a track meet. Cleveland can score, but Philadelphia has enough defensive ability to make the Cavaliers work for their points. I can see something like 115-110, and that stays comfortably under the number.

Final Picks: Philadelphia 76ers +1.5 | Under 234.5 Points
