Raptors are finally starting to roll
Toronto is one of those sleeper teams that some liked to win a title or at least get to the Eastern Conference Finals. Currently, they are listed as +15000 odds to win the NBA Finals at DraftKings and +4000 to win the Eastern Conference. On Tuesday, they were able to beat a terrible Brooklyn team on the road by 10. It wasn't pretty as Brandon Ingram led the way with 25 points and Immanuel Quickley added 24 and eight rebounds. The Raptors shot just 26% from beyond the arc (9-of-35), but outrebounded the Nets by 14. The Nets also made it more interesting because they shot 31 of 32 from the line (97%).
The Raptors have now won five of their last six games, with their lone loss coming against Philly on Saturday (130-120). This is their fourth game of a six-game road trip. Ingram leads Toronto with 21.4 points per game, adding 4.0 assists and 6.2 rebounds, while shooting 50.6% from the field. R.J. Barrett adds 20 points per game and 4.0 assists, while shooting 51.3% from the field (35% 3pt).

Toronto is shooting 48.8% from the field (8th) and 37.8% from long range. They allow 47% shooting from their opponents (17th) and just 33% from long range (4th).
Cavs are resting stars
It's early in the second, and the long run counts, though Michael Jordan would not be in favor of Cleveland resting star Donovan Mitchell this early in the season. Donovan Mitchell did play in Monday's loss to Miami, a thrilling 140-138 defeat on the road. He scored 28 points, grabbed 15 boards and dished out eight assists in 41 minutes but shot just 3 of 16 from three-point range. Evan Mobley also had a double-double (21pts, 10rebs), but both sat on Wednesday night.
Cleveland had won four straight games before the tough loss at Miami on Monday. Fortunately for Cleveland, they have pretty good depth led by last year's first-round pick Jaylon Tyson. The 6-6, 215-pound wing played sparingly last season, but this year, he is averaging 11.1 points and shooting 46.2% from long range in 25.8 minutes per game. However, Tyson missed Wednesday's game against Miami due to a concussion and might miss Thursday's game as well.
Mitchell leads the Cavs with 30.4 points per game on 40.4% three-point shooting, while Mobley adds 20.1 points and 8.6 rebounds. Guard Darius Garland has played just three games due to a toe injury and is averaging 13 points. Cleveland's weakness is its three-point defense, which ranks 25th (37.3%). Offensively, they are shooting 45.5% (22nd) from the field and 36.1% (14th) from long range.
Key Injuries for Raptors vs. Cavaliers

- F Sandro Mamukelashvili (neck) is questionable. Is averaging 9.2 points per game and 3.4 rebounds.
Cleveland:
- F Larry Nance Jr. (knee) is questionable.
- G Jaylon Tyson (concussion) is questionable. Averages 11.1 points.
- G Darius Garland (toe) is doubtful. Averages 13 points per game.
- G Max Strus (foot) is out until early December. Has not played this season.
Spread Pick for Raptors vs. Cavs
Raptors vs. Cavaliers Spread Pick and Prediction
- Toronto +7.5 (4 units)
It's always interesting taking a team that played the night before and rested nearly half the squad. Toronto is one of those squads who is tough play against, because they are long and physical. Scottie Barnes (6-8, 237) and Ingram (6-8, 190) are a matchup nightmare and then you have the physical Jakob Poeltl at center at 7-0, 253 and rookie Collin Murray Broyles (6-7, 245), who can fill in at the post. Cleveland's three-point defense is a concern as Barnes (44.4%) and Gradey Dick (35%) can light it up from downtown. Take the dog here.
Totals Pick for Raptors vs. Cavs
- Over 239.5 (4 units)
Both teams enjoy pushing the ball. Toronto ranks 12th in pace of play and Cleveland ranks 7th according to DunksandThrees.com. The Cavaliers, who are expected to get Mitchell and Mobley back on Thursday, have gone over in four straight games as they've averaged 136.5 points per game before last night's results.
