Cardinals finally end skid
The Arizona Cardinals (3-5) managed to get their first win since September last time out as they battled past Dallas 27-22. That put an end to a five-game losing streak, which left them dead last in the NFC West and likely to extend their three-year absence from the postseason. Arizona can point to a little bad luck during that run: it lost all of those games by less than a score and three of the five by three points or fewer.
Jacoby Brissett showed out to overcome Dak Prescott and lead the Cardinals to victory last week. The backup QB, who has started since Week 7 due to Kyler Murray's injury problems, threw for 261 yards off 21 completions with two touchdowns while also getting over the line for a rushing TD. He was helped by a big game from Marvin Harrison Jr., who caught seven throws for 96 yards and a TD. Harrison leads the Cardinals with 492 receiving yards in 202,5 while his mark of 14.9 yards per catch ranks 10th among NFL players. Josh Sweat stood out on defense with two sacks and two tackles for loss while the Cardinals forced three turnovers to keep the Cowboys at bay. The linebacker is tied for sixth among NFL players with nine tackles for loss and 7.0 sacks in 2025.
Brissett will remain in the lineup against Seattle as Murray (foot) was moved to the IR this week.
Seahawks in tough NFC West battle
The Seattle Seahawks (6-2) are on a high with three consecutive wins. But there is no chance that they will let up. Seattle remains tied with the LA Rams at the top of the NFC West division, currently holding first place by virtue of its superior division record (1-1). A win over the Cardinals on Sunday would go a long way toward securing the title for the Seahawks for the first time since the 2020 season.
Rock-solid defense has been the key for the Seahawks during this latest win streak. Seattle has held its last three opponents to a combined 35 points, most recently beating out the Commanders 38-14. Opponents are averaging 4.7 yards per play against them this year, the third-best mark in the NFL, while the backfield's mark of 1.1 interceptions per game is also tied for third in the NFL.
Last year's rookie sensation for Washington, Jayden Daniels, became the latest QB to struggle against Seattle, throwing for just 153 yards and an interception while getting sacked four times. There have also been flashes of offensive power from Sam Darnold, who picked up 330 yards through the air and four TDs to sink the Commanders. Darnold will only benefit from the acquisition of WR Rashid Shaheed from the Saints, providing another strong option to complement current NFL receiving yards leader Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

Cardinals vs. Seahawks Pick
Spread Pick for Cardinals vs. Seahawks
- Seahawks -6.5 (five units)
The Seahawks are as hot as any team in the NFL right now and look good value to come through against the Cardinals by at least a score. Seattle is 6-2 ATS in 2025 and covered in its last meeting against the Cardinals, a 23-20 win on the road earlier this season. Brissett has shown some interesting moments since coming in for Murray but fielding a backup QB with just eight starts in the past three seasons looks to put Arizona at a huge disadvantage against this ravenous Seahawks defense. And unlike the Cardinals, the home teams takes its chances with a 70.4% RZ scoring rate (3rd in NFL) against Arizona's 58%.
Take the Seahawks.
Over/Under Pick for Falcons vs. Patriots
- Under 45.5 (five units)
Brissett versus the Seahawks appears to be a mismatch, and if the Cardinals are shut down on offense, that should keep the total on the under this Sunday. Seattle is giving up 18.8 points per game in 2025, the fifth-best mark in the league. Opposing QBs are averaging just 6.5 yards/pass against them while on the ground, Seattle allows a league-best 3.5 yards per rush. On the other side of the ball, this Seahawks offense has been prone to turnovers, with 1.6 giveaways per game (29th in the NFL) and has been reliant on Darnold's passing, picking up only 3.7 yards per rush (31st in the league). If Arizona can repeat its excellent defensive showing against the Cowboys, a low-scoring game is certainly on the cards.
Take the under.
