Broncos Edge Out Titans
Denver beat the Titans 20-12 in Week 1 in a game that was much closer than expected. Quarterback Bo Nix struggled as he went 25-for-40 for 176 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. The running game, meanwhile, was solid as RJ Harvey rushed for 70 yards on 6 touches, while J.K. Dobbins got the bulk of the carries, rushing for 63 yards and a touchdown on 16 touches. Courtland Sutton led the way with 6 receptions for 61 receiving yards and a touchdown that came right before the half. Tight end Evan Engram (calf) is questionable, along with DE John Franklin-Myers.
Defensively, Denver was solid as the Broncos limited rookie quarterback Cam Ward to 112 passing yards and didn't allow a passing touchdown. On the ground, Tony Pollard averaged just 3.3 rushing yards per attempt as the Broncos' defense was as advertised. Denver also recorded six sacks, as the defensive line was able to get after Ward in Week 1. This is a tough Broncos' defense led by CB Patrick Surtain II, who was the NFL Defensive Player of the Year last season.

Colts Dominate Dolphins
Indianapolis started its season with a bang as the Colts dominated the Dolphins in Week 1, winning 33-8 at home. The Colts led 20-0 at the half and 23-0 after the third quarter as the game was never close. Defensively, Indianapolis allowed 133 passing yards and 78 rushing yards while recording two interceptions, one fumble, and three sacks. A big concern on defense is at the cornerback spot, where Charvarius Ward (concussion) is out, along with Jaylin Jones (hamstring). Laiatu Latu and Tyler Goodson are also listed as questionable in the defensive backfield.
The storyline for the Colts' offense in Week 1 was the performance of former New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones. Jones went 22-for-29 for 272 yards and a touchdown, while he also rushed for 26 yards and two more touchdowns. Jonathan Taylor led the way on the ground, rushing for 71 yards on 18 carries. Michael Pittman Jr. led the way as he had 6 receptions for 80 yards and a touchdown.
Broncos vs Colts Pick
Spread Pick for Broncos vs. Colts
- Broncos ML (-130)
In Week 1, Indianapolis was a major surprise as the Colts dominated the Dolphins, but the Broncos' defense is much better and will be the difference here. Denver's defensive line is solid, as the Broncos should be able to get after Daniel Jones in the backfield and limit the Colts' running game. Meanwhile, Pat Surtain II should lock up Pittman Jr., which will hinder the Colts' passing game. Bo Nix should also be better after he struggled in Week 1, as he will be smarter with the football and control the clock to help Denver get the road win here. It also helps that the Colts are already decimated at cornerback due to injuries.
Take the Broncos ML.
Over/Under Pick for Broncos vs Colts
- Under 42.5 (-105)
With how good Denver's defense is, and how Indianapolis' defense looked in Week 1, the under is a great spot here. The Broncos should be able to limit the passing game of Daniel Jones, while Denver will once again be a run-heavy offense, which will help chew the clock. The Colts and Broncos both went under in Week 1, and the defenses should continue to shine for the under to cash again.
Take the under.
