Colts vs Texans Game Preview and Analysis

Houston has controlled this series recently, but context matters. The Texans’ four-game winning streak over Indianapolis includes a matchup earlier this season where the Colts started Daniel Jones. That will not be the case this time.

Riley Leonard will get his first career start after an unusual quarterback sequence earlier in the year. Leonard’s arm talent is limited, but his mobility adds an element Indianapolis simply did not have in the first meeting. That skill set should allow the Colts to extend drives, shorten the game, and keep Houston from pulling away.

Houston still has something to play for, but the path to a division title requires help. The Texans have also been grinding through one-possession wins, and fatigue could be a factor after playing 11 straight weeks. With Houston rarely winning by margin and Indianapolis positioned to slow the game down, the value lies with the points.

Key Injuries and Notes (IND vs HOU)

  • IND: Riley Leonard will make his first career start at quarterback.
  • HOU: Playing time could be influenced by AFC South results elsewhere.

Final Score Prediction

Houston 23, Indianapolis 17

ATS and Total Picks
