New Orleans Saints vs Los Angeles Rams, Preview, Odds, Pick and Prediction November 2nd, 2025
Two teams trending in opposite directions will go head-to-head when the Los Angeles Rams host the New Orleans Saints on Sunday at 4:05 p.m. EST in SoFi Stadium. Check out our New Orleans Saints vs Los Angeles Rams pick and prediction here!
The Saints are one of the worst teams in football with a 1-7 record and they are currently on a three-game losing streak. This season is more about moral victories than anything else, with the intention of getting better for future years. Meanwhile, the Rams are still vying for a playoff spot with a 5-2 record. They are fighting hard with the Seahawks and the 49ers for the division, and they are looking to improve their win streak to three with a win here. Los Angeles is a massive favorite at -14 points while the total is set at 43.5 points. Can the Rams continue their win streak with a victory at home?

Rams Ready to Roll
The Rams had a bye in week 8 but won their most recently played contest against the Jaguars by a score of 35-7 in London. Matthew Stafford made headlines with five TD passes while completing 21/33 passes for 182 yards. Kyren Williams led the ground game with 54 yards, and Davante Adams led the receiving group with three TD receptions and five receptions overall. Colby Parkinson had the most receiving yards, however, with 47. Kamren Curl had eight tackles and two tackle assists in the effort, while Nate Landman and Byron Young each had 1.5 sacks on the day.
Matthew Stafford continues to lead the Rams at the QB position despite the ever-increasing noise of Stafford retiring due to injury and age. So far this year, Stafford has completed 66.1% of his passes for 1,866 yards, 17 touchdowns, and two interceptions. Kyren Williams leads the running backs with 472 yards on 107 carries, and Puka Nacua is the leading receiver on the team with 616 yards on 54 catches. Davante Adams is the only other one to have more than 200 yards on the season, and he has 431. Interestingly, Adams has six TD receptions and Williams is second with three. As a whole, the Rams are 6th in yards per game, 3rd in the air, 22nd on the ground, and 12th in overall scoring with an average of 25.0 points per game.
On defense, Landman has the most total tackles thus far with 67, including 33 solo tackles. Five others have 30+ total tackles, while Young has the most sacks on the season with nine. Quentin Lake leads the secondary with nine passes defended when nobody else has more than seven. Curl is the only one with multiple picks on the season, and two others, including Lake, have one interception on the year. Four players, including veteran offensive lineman Rob Havenstein and Nacua, are on the injured list this week. Nacua remains questionable to play after missing the past couple of games, while the rest were limited in practice. As a unit, the Los Angeles defense has given up 16.7 points per game, ranking 3rd in the NFL. They are 13th in total yards per game, 14th against the pass, and 14th against the run.

Saints Struggling
The Saints were dominated by the Bucs on Sunday by a score of 23-3. Spencer Rattler completed 15/21 passes for 136 yards and an interception before being pulled for rookie Tyler Shough. Shough completed 17/30 passes for 128 yards and an interception and is expected to keep the starting job for the rest of the season. Kamara led the rushing attack, although he managed only 21 yards, while Rashid Shaheed led the receiving group with nine catches and 75 yards. Demario Davis had four tackles and seven tackle assists, while Chase Young had a sack and a half to his name.
There is some question as to whether Spencer Rattler remains the best option for the Saints going forward at the QB position. So far, he has completed 68% of his passes for 1,586 yards, eight touchdowns, and five interceptions. With the way the Saints have been losing, they will be making Shough the starter to mix things up. Alvin Kamara leads the backfield for the Saints with 363 yards and one of the three rushing touchdowns. Kendre Miller was getting more reps before he injured himself, so now the running back position remains in Kamara's grip. Chris Olave leads the receiving core with 503 yards, 52 receptions, and three touchdowns. As a collective, the Saints are 27th in overall yards per game, 22nd in passing, 28th in rushing, and 29th in scoring with an average of only 16.0 points per game.
On defense, the Saints have Demario Davis leading the charge with a team-high 71 total tackles and 37 solo tackles. Pete Werner is the closest one behind him with 33 solo tackles and 52 total tackles. Carl Granderson leads the defensive unit with 4.5 sacks and Kool-Aid McKinstry has the most passes defended with seven on the season. He is also the only one with multiple picks on the season, earning a total of two thus far. The Saints rank 15th in yards given up per game, 9th against the pass, 21st against the run, and 24th in scoring defense with an average of 26.1 points surrendered. New Orleans only has seven players listed on their injury report, but some of those players are quite important, including Kamara, Olave, and Juwan Johnson. While Johnson and Olave were full participants in their latest practice, Kamara and Rashid Shaheed were limited.
Saints vs Rams Pick
Spread Pick for Saints vs Rams
- Los Angeles Rams -14 (5 units)
Normally, I'd be against siding with the favorite with such a large spread, but with the way that the Rams slaughtered the Jaguars and the fact that they are coming off a bye, I have more confidence than normal. Puka Nacua should be back this week, and the combination between him and Stafford is borderline unstoppable, much less against a subpar Saints defense. The Rams have an underrated defense, and the Saints are a mess right now with Shough starting at QB. I doubt he will be anything better than Rattler, which means the Rams should dominate. Provided the Rams get out to a quick lead, I expect them to run out the clock and grind out the game through the run and eventually tack on enough points to cover. The Rams have covered the last four of five meetings, and the Saints are 2-6 ATS in their last eight games played.
Over/Under Pick for Saints vs Rams
- Under 43.5 (4 units)
New Orleans has scored less than 20 points in five of their last six games, and I expect not much will change with this game. The Saints have hit the under in their last four games and the Rams have hit the under in three of their last four. L.A. has given up a combined 10 points against Baltimore and Jacksonville in two weeks. While Baltimore was without Lamar Jackson, the Saints are technically also on their backup QB. The Rams aren't an explosive offense by any means, as they have reached 30+ points only once this season. Therefore, I expect them to score around 27 points with the Saints just barely getting to double digits, resulting in the under being hit.
