Eagles Looking To Repeat Last Year’s Success
The Eagles are coming off another win last week against the Rams as they came back to win 33-26. This is their third win of the season as the Eagles remain undefeated at the start of this season. Philadelphia will be looking to continue its win streak, but will be facing off against an equal opponent who also remains undefeated in the Buccaneers.
Philadelphia has dominated this season on offense, ranking eighth overall in points, scoring 77 points across its first three games. The Eagles have continued their impressive run game, ranking 14th in rushing yards and third overall in rushing attempts. The Eagles have relied on their run game as it has been so consistent, thanks to running back Saquon Barkley. Barkley leads the team in rushing yards at 194, averaging 3.3 yards per carry, and has a total of two touchdowns so far this season on the ground. QB Jalen Hurts has completed 71.4% of his passes for 479 yards with three TDs and no picks. He also has 117 rushing yards and four TDs on the ground.
On defense, we are seeing an impressive defensive core that limits their opponents' pass game. The Eagles are 15th in points allowed this season, but are seventh in passing yards allowed. The ability to shut down most teams' pass game has resulted in games moving far faster, as the Eagles chew the clock down with their run game and force their opponents to rely on their own run game which chews the clock even more. The Eagles' clock management has been impressive, and is no wonder they stood on top last season as the champions.

Buccaneers’ Reliable Run Game
The Buccaneers picked up another win last week against the Jets with a final score of 29-27 to improve their start to 3-0, which is their best since 2005. This is the third win on the season for the Buccaneers as they, much like the Eagles, remain undefeated at the start of their season. Tampa Bay will be aiming to continue their impressive start to this season with a win over the former Super Bowl Champions.
Tampa Bay has been one of the better running teams this season, ranking seventh overall in rushing yards and 15th in rushing yards per carry at 4.5. With their strong run game, the Buccaneers sit 12th in points scored this season and it is mostly thanks to the running back tandem of Bucky Irving and Rachaad White. Irving leads the team in rushing yards at 174 on the season but White is not too far behind with his 91 yards on the season. Quarterback Baker Mayfield has also contributed to the run game, having 116 scrimmage yards this season with an average of four yards per carry. He is completing 61.6% of his passes for 615 yards with six TDs and no picks (99.5 QBR).
The defense for Tampa Bay has also been key to their success but it has specialized in defeating the run game. The Buccaneers this season are sixth in rushing yards and fifth in rushing yards allowed per carry at 3.6. This defense has made it difficult for teams to generate many rushing yards, and going into Sunday’s game, they will be tested going up against one of the better rushing teams in the league.

The Buccaneers are 5-2 against the spread in their last seven games against the Eagles. Last season, the Eagles were a one-point favorite against the Buccaneers and were defeated in a 33-16 loss. Tampa Bay seems to have the perfect counter against the Eagles' play style, especially with Philly relying too much on their run game, which Tampa Bay excels in stopping. While I believe the Buccaneers are capable of grabbing the win, we are getting a lot of value on the spread at over a field goal.

The Eagles have an over/under record of 2-8 in their last ten games against the NFC South. The Buccaneers have an over/under record of 1-4 in their last five games versus the Eagles. Tampa Bay will attempt to generate points but them alone I do not believe will take us over the total.
