Seattle Seahawks vs Tennessee Titans Picks and Prediction for Sunday August 23 2026

The Seattle Seahawks travel to Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee, to face the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, August 23, 2026, in Week 2 of the NFL preseason. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:00 PM ET with national coverage on FOX. Seattle enters at 0-1 after dropping its preseason opener, while Tennessee is 1-0 following a road victory. The current line has Tennessee favored by 4.5 points with a total of 37.5, while the Titans are -225 on the moneyline and Seattle is +185. Be prepared for the NFL season with our free NFL picks.

Seattle Looking for More Offensive Production

Seattle opened the preseason with a 17-7 home loss to Dallas. The Seahawks actually struck first and led 7-0 after the opening quarter, but they were held scoreless over the final three quarters while Dallas scored the game's final 17 points.

The biggest concern from that opener was offensive consistency. Seattle finished with only seven points and struggled to generate much through the passing game. The defense did enough to keep the game within reach, allowing just 17 points, but the offense was unable to take advantage.

There is also an interesting wrinkle surrounding this matchup because Seattle and Tennessee held a joint practice before Sunday's game. That gives both coaching staffs a recent look at the opposing roster and may reduce the need to expose established personnel for extended stretches in the actual preseason game.

Tennessee Has the Early Preseason Edge

Tennessee started its preseason with a 19-13 road victory over San Francisco. The Titans led 13-7 at halftime and did enough defensively throughout the second half to protect the advantage. Tennessee's starters played roughly 20 snaps before the reserves handled the remainder of the contest.

One thing that stands out from that game was Tennessee's ability to keep adding points even without consistently reaching the end zone. The Titans produced only one touchdown but still reached 19 points, while their defense prevented San Francisco from scoring more than one touchdown.

That type of game translates fairly well to preseason football, where execution, field position and depth often matter more than offensive explosiveness. Tennessee is also playing its first preseason home game after winning its opener on the road.

Seattle Seahawks vs Tennessee Titans Picks and Prediction

Pick: Tennessee Titans -4.5

Seattle certainly has enough overall roster quality to make laying more than a field goal uncomfortable, but preseason handicapping is less about the regular-season roster and more about which team's available depth is positioned to perform for four quarters.

Tennessee gets the nod there. The Titans already demonstrated that they could win after transitioning away from their top units, beating San Francisco 19-13. Seattle, meanwhile, scored on its opening possession against Dallas but didn't put another point on the board.

The joint practice also makes this an unusual setup. With the teams already getting meaningful competitive work against each other, Sunday's game should lean heavily toward evaluation of the deeper portions of both rosters. Based on what we saw in Week 1, Tennessee has shown more reason to trust that group.

Take Tennessee Titans -4.5.

Pick: Under 37.5

The under is my preferred play in this matchup. Seattle's opener produced only 24 combined points, while Tennessee's finished with 32. Neither game reached Sunday's 37.5-point number.

Seattle allowed only 17 points despite losing its opener, while Tennessee surrendered 13. The bigger question is whether Seattle can contribute enough offensively to push this game over the number. After producing seven points and going scoreless over the final three quarters against Dallas, I don't want to rely on that happening.

Tennessee winning something in the range of 20-13 or 23-13 fits the profile of this matchup and keeps us underneath 37.5.

Take Under 37.5.
